Former Dancing On Ice contestant Zoe Salmon has denied rumours that there was a huge rift between the skaters backstage.

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, Salmon explained: “All this year’s contestants got on really well. There’s no scandal.

“We’ve all been rooting for each other and I think that’s because the sport has a dangerous side. Nobody wants anyone else to get hurt and it’s great to see the other contestants improve.”

Dancing On Ice girls Roxanne Pallett and Zoe Salmon are said to be at loggerheads after Roxanne made disparaging comments about Zoe’s perma grin during an interview.

Jason Gardiner appeared with Roxane on This Morning last Monday and said of Zoe: “There is such a sincerity on the ice.”

But Roxy, 26, raged: “Sincerity? Are you mad?”

Understandably Zoe isn’t best pleased with Roxanne and The Daily Star have quoted her as saying:

“I have never heard anyone else apart from Roxy say that.

“It was disappointing.”

It may have been disappointing…but it was true!

Zoe Salmon has been voted off dancing On Ice and in my opinion she was robbed.

Zoe is going home whilst Coleen Nolan remains, it hardly seems fair does it?

Salmon started off in the series way behind her main female competition, Jessica Taylor, but by this week was almost Jessica’s equal on the ice. Zoe can jump and skate alone, two things which Coleen Nolan still won’t be able to do when this competition is over.

I understand that shows of this nature are entertainment based and so people will very often vote on personality rather that skill, but at this late quarter final stage it just doesn’t seem fair on anyone involved.

The Dancing On Ice girls are going to spice things up on tomorrow night’s show with sexy costumes and raunchy routines. I bet the male viewership figures go through the roof.

Jess is wearing a silver crystal encrusted catsuit, Roxy is wearing a costume similar to Pamela Anderson’s from Baywatch and Zoe is wearing a gold tassled crystal encrusted dress.

Jess hopes that her costume will bring her luck.

Jess said: “The last time I wore a catsuit it was for Liberty X’s Just a Little video – the song that won us a Brit. I’m hoping my costume will bring me luck on Sunday.”

Zoe’s outfit is flesh coloured and makes her look naked apart from some strategically placed crystals.

Zoe said: “My costume is absolutely beautiful; I think it could be my favourite yet. It’s very glitzy and glamorous and hopefully the viewers will love it as much as I do.

“It’s gold, sparkly and flesh coloured and it has gold tassels which move really nicely with my routine. Not to mention the gold Swarovski crystals which are every girl’s dream.”

Roxy’s costume is red and has cut-outs across the stomach to expose her skin.

Roxy said: “My outfit is red and it’s like a bikini with straps across the tummy. It’s made out of only half a metre of material and it’s very Baywatch.”

Zoe Salmon has revealed that she has big plans for her career after she leaves ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

Zoe hopes to move from TV presenting into acting and is not planning to settle for a bit part in the Bill or a similar UK TV show.

Discussing her future plans, Salmon told The Sun: “I’m thinking more Hollywood than Hollyoaks.”

She added: “I’ve done acting before and it’s something I’d like to do more of. I’d like to be the next Bond – Jane Bond. There should be a Bond spinoff like with Torchwood and Doctor Who. I don’t think you need to be a boy to be Bond.”

That Zoe Salmon is such a girly girl! She has admitted to The Sun that one of her favourite things about taking part in Dancing On Ice is the gorgeous costumes and revealed that Melinda’s most recent has been one of her favourites.

Zoe said: “Melinda looked beautiful with her big smile, long blonde hair and pink dress. She’s like a Barbie doll. She looked beautiful. I loved her dress so much last night.

“I also loved what Gemma Bissix wore when she went out the pink dress. I’m such a girlie girl. But I am loving all the costumes. I really embrace it – even the blue 80s look, I love all of them.”

Zoe Salmon has revealed that she would love to step into Holly Willoughby’s shoes on ITV2’s Xtra Factor show.

Holly recently admitted that she doesn’t know whether she will front the show this year as she is due to give birth to her first child in May.

Zoe told The Sun:

“If Holly decides to stay at home, I would gladly fill her shoes.

“Holly’s brilliant. It would be a shame if she didn’t come back but it would be great for me.”

Former Blue Peter presenter, Zoe Salmon, has revealed that she is still in a great deal of pain after sustaining a rib injury ahead of last weeks Dancing On Ice show.

Zoe was injured whilst rehearsing lifts with partner Matt Evers and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment. It didn’t affect her routine though and she still managed to score well with the show judges.

Salmon told The Sun: “I’m still in a lot of pain. It’s strapped up and I’m taking lots of different tablets to get through it, but I’m just so relieved it’s not broken.”

“We’ve had to change the routine twice, but we have still got some very fabulous moves,” she explained. “The first couple of seconds are absolutely hair-raising. It’s a good job I trust Matt because I’m really worried I could get hurt.”

Three female Dancing On Ice competitors have all suffered rib injuries this week it has emerged.

Former Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon, former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett, ex-Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor have all received medical attention following falls in rehearsals.

Roxanne was taken to hospital on Tuesday as she injured herself whilst practising lifts with partner Dan. Jessica bruised three ribs also practising lifts with Pavel Aubrecht on Monday and Zoe suffered from muscle spasms between her ribs in training which led to her visiting the hospital.

“It’s quite deflating when you get an injury,” Pallett told the Sunday Mirror. “But once you leave the show you can’t go back so I’m going to be brave.”

She added: “I’m completely lost now. I’m completely doubting myself.”

“There’s nothing you can do to avoid it hurting,” Taylor explained. “I’m a bit frightened about doing anything at all now.”

Commenting on her injury Salmon said: “It’s a really sharp pain. It’s like someone has punched me.”

Dancing On Ice competitor, Zoe Salmon, has revealed that she is desperate to attempt the headbanger, a move where her dance partner would swing her up and down by the ankles.

“I would love to do it tomorrow. You have no idea how much I’m itching to do that,” Salmon told the Daily Record. “That’s what it’s all about for me, the big lifts and the tricks. I really hope I’ll be able to do the headbanger.”

The former Blue Peter host also admitted that she often worries about what injuries she may sustain whilst rehearsing for the show.

“I go to my lesson and I think, ‘What’s going to happen to me today?’ This week, I was so tired I tripped over myself when I arrived on one of the days and was told to go home,” she explained.

“The programme makers know it’s a dangerous sport. You just have to look at Michael Underwood, who broke his ankle last year. That was at the end of a session when he was tired and decided to do his performance one more time.

“I thought you trained on the ice until you got it 100 per cent but you only get to train two hours a day so you don’t get too tired and make mistakes.”
