Arjun Rajyagor wins Junior Apprentice 2010

Arjun Rajyagor has won BBC’s Junior Apprentice series.

After competing in tonight’s final against Tim Ankers, Zoe Plummer and Kirsty Cleaver, the 17 year old A Level student found himself in the top two alongside Tim. Lord Alan Sugar decided between them, not just based on tonight’s bottle of water task but on their performance over the whole series.

In the boardroom Arjun sold himself well to Sugar, giving a very comprehensive assessment of his achievements in the course of the show. Up against lazy Tim, he wasn’t facing much competition and so unsurprisingly he was the one to scoop the £25,000 prize.

Explaining his decision to hire Arjun, Sugar said: “[He] has that natural business flair combined with intelligence that some people are born with – you can’t learn it. I know that Arjun is going to become the best at whatever he wants to do and I will be here for support all the way.

“I was so impressed with all of the candidates – they were outstanding for their age – but there had to be just one winner, and Arjun has done himself and his family proud.”

Speaking during his journey home Arjun said:

“I can’t believe I’m the first Junior Apprentice. It’s absolutely mind-blowing. It hasn’t even sunk in yet. Tim was the greatest opponent anybody could have ever wanted. I just can’t wait to go home and tell my parents. They’re going to be so proud, so ecstatic. And just to think the amount of opportunities this will open up for me. It’s just been so amazing.”

Do you think Lord Sugar hired the right person tonight? We had been hoping that Zoe would win the crown. Leave your comments below.
