GMTV presenter, Fiona Phillips and Countdown counter Carol Vorderman are said to have agreed to appear on Comic Relief does Celebrity Apprentice 2009.

The pair will both be unemployed at the time after Fiona left GMTV and Carol was sacked from Countdown.

A source told The Mirror: “Both have had plenty of offers but the only one they have taken so far is The Apprentice.

“They don’t have to go through Sir Alan’s tough interviews but they have to impress him by raising cash for charity. It will be interesting to see Sir Alan going head-to-head with them in the boardroom. And Carol’s maths expertise should come in handy if the task involves sales.”
