Michael Parkinson ranted about The BBC;s Apprentice show, featuring Sir Alan Sugar, calling it “vulgar” and “distasteful.”
“I have an aversion to that programme,” he said. “I find it distasteful. It’s full of vulgar, loud people, who, for all the wrong reasons, are dobbing each other in.”
Speaking about Sir Alan, Parky added: “When he tells someone, ‘You’re fired’, what’s funny about that? You’re fired. There’s nothing funny about it.”
In theory I do agree, but it really does make great telly!

I was out with an executive recruiter on Saturday and he said that he doesn’t believe that he would offer any of the candidates a job.
I think one or two are worth it. But on the whole I suspect a number are in just for the exposure to get better jobs in their own careers, businesses or the media.
Time will tell won’t it?

This show should be banned, its even worse than big brother, at least on big brother most of the contestants are harmless idiots and just providing entertainment, those on the apprentice however are evil competitive selfish calculating conniving capitalist scum, they know exactly how to win and will do anything to win, even if it means screwing someone over, the show encourages values that are distasteful, none more so than the enjoyment the public act like vultures watching someone get fired by a foul mouthed crude capitalist Jew. In what way is getting fired form your job and being told youre a useless loser funny? The programme makers are scum, the contestants are scum, Alan sugar is scum and the biggest scum of all…….those who watch it.
