The Apprentice 2012: Ricky Martin branded an “arrogant fool” in tonight’s final!
As fans of The Apprentice will know, it’s the show’s big final tonight, but for one candidate, Ricky Martin, things don’t get off to a good start when Lord Sugar’s adviser Claude Littner lays into him, labeling his personal statement. “crass, obnoxious and infantile.”
Claude adds, “Some of the statements you’ve made are completely ludicrous…
“The problem is that you’re an arrogant fool.”
He adds, “Probably the most crass, obnoxious and infantile personal statement that I’ve had the… not really a pleasure, I’ve had the opportunity of reading.”
However, Ricky isn’t the only one to feel the heat tonight as his fellow finalists Jade Nash, Nick Holzherr and Tom Gearing are all put through the wringer by Claude, though arguably, Ricky’s in the deepest hot water when he has to apologise for likening himself to the demi-god Thor.
He’s also in the dog house for calling Lord Sugar an “old dog” who he promises to teach “new tricks”.
And as if all that wasn’t enough of a bashing, we’ll see former Young Entrepreneur of the Year Matthew Riley telling Ricky, “I opened your application. There were just so many things in there that make me want to be sick.”
Meanwhile, magazine mogul Mike Soutar tells Ricky, “It all sounds a bit more show business than real business to me.”
However, despite being kicked while down, Ricky will be seen defending himself and his statement, telling Littner, “When I turned up to this process, I had a lot of bravado about me.
“I was happy to sit there and say these bold statements to get myself noticed and to get myself heard.
“I’ll be honest to say that throughout this process I’ve realised a lot about myself and I’m a very different person now.”
Meanwhile, Kate Nash is ridiculed tonight when her N grade in business A-level is revealed.
And Nick Holzherr’s internet scheme is branded “irrelevant” while Tom Gearing is accused of being a “daddy’s boy” when it is revealed his father is a director of his wine investment company.
Don’t miss the drama on The Apprentice tonight at 8.30pm on BBC1.
