The Apprentice: Katie Hopkins Leaves Of Her Own Accord!
Tonight saw the semi final of the BBC reality TV show, The Apprentice.
Controversially, instead of sacking one person, Sir Alan Sugar announced that he would sack three, to make room for two people in next weeks final.
The contestants had to endure three rigorous interviews with trusted business associates of Sir Alan, who then fed back their opinions to the boss man.
Sir Alan quickly arrived at his decision to get rid of Lohit and Tre (FINALLY!) but was in a quandary when it came to decide between Katie, Kristina and Simon.
Sir Alan voiced his concerns about the location of Katie’s home in Exeter and her two young children. He was also suspicious of Katie’s motives when it comes to winning the apprentice’s job. Many of his associates suspected that Katie would win the show and walk away soon after.
After receiving assurances from Katie that this was not the case Sir Alan Sugar offered her a place in the final. As he went on to deliberate between Simon and Kristina he noticed that Katie looked less than elated, prompting him to ask her if there was a problem. She admitted that the move from Exeter to London may not be as easy as she had implied and after some deliberation decided to bow out of the race.
So there you have it, Kristina and Simon in The Apprentice final. Kristina is probably the better candidate, but Simon is a lovely guy with loads of untapped potential. Tune in next week for the series finale!

If Katie Hopkins was serious about winning The Apprentice and working for Sir Alan Sugar she would have sorted her mobility and child care issues from the outset. The fact she didn’t proves that she was not serious and had she won would have walked away immediately after. But of course she could then have included her success on her CV, but that would have fooled no prospective employer. Goodbye Katie and good riddance – the business world can survive without the likes of you!
[...] Alan Sugar suspected that Katie Hopkins had entered The Apprentice purely to win and gain some exposure but little did [...]
The problem with The Apprentice is that people treat is as a gameshow when, in reality, it is just a glorified job interview. You have to be able to accept the job if it is offered. It’s not about “winning the game”, it’s about “getting the job”.
Let’s be honest, would you want a job that you didnt know what it would be?
I felt sorry for Tim, the first winner. Who could have guessed that he would be responsible for making a beauty product.
And with Michelle, recyling old computers, well here there is an unemployment scheme that employs people on the New Deal to do things like that. And with computers now so cheap why buy a pentium 2 when you can get a fastish computer for 400 pounds anyway?
It is probably the only gameshow where the contestants dont really want to win the prize.
Afterall, Amstrad is generally a naff company.
Cliff.
I find it so hard that Kristina didn’t win, she was the odds on favourite, did Sir Alan just go against public opinion out of sheer bloody mindedness? We will never know.
I’ve held my tongue for far too long!!. (Andy jackson, ex apprentice) is my brother, (although i’d rather not admit it) He and his family have disowned me, as an adopted child.. I’m now 37 years old.
We never got on as kids, and my mum and dad have nothing to do with me now.
They won’t listen to me.
They think their other kids are perfect, and are true to them.. not so. But i’ll take the whole flack for it all.. i always have and will.
Steph .c. Jackson.
(p.s) If you can find my parents in portugal (last i heard) i would really appreciate it.
