The Apprentice: Michelle and Syed Put Relationship ‘On Hold’
Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry and runner up Syed Ahmed have put their relationship “on hold” following the loss of their unborn baby.
The pair met last year while battling on The Apprentice for a £100,000-a-year job with Sir Alan Sugar.
Apprentice winner Michelle, 26, from Hull, suffered a miscarriage after being taken to hospital last month.
The baby’s father Syed, 32, said: “We have got to the point where staying together is causing more problems.”
He told a magazine it was almost as though they had lost something more than a baby. They had lost a part of their chemistry too.

sorry for their loss as a miscarriage is devasting, but did they actually have a proper relationship or just a reality TV show romance, which is a different thing completely.

i think the fact that they tried to keep their relationship a secre, and were successful for quite a while, points towards the fact that it was a real relationship.

Take your point, but I wasnt putting them in the same boat as the Nikki and Pete trolley.
I was commenting more on the briefness of the relantionship and making a serious decision to have a baby so earlier on, without really knowing each other for that long.
Reality TV shows do throw people together very quickly and psychologically they believe they know each other intimately, but it always takes time to get to know anyone.
However Jordan and Peter Andre have done well.
Very sad about Michelle’s miscarriage, she is a gutsy woman and I wish her well. I liked Syed in a strange way too.

I actually read in a magazine that they weren’t at all serious and the pregnancy was unplanned. They decided to make a go of it once they found out.
Syed was on GMTv a few weeks ago and he also commented that the pregnancy wasn’t planned.
I never warmed to Syed, he always struck me as a bit of an egomaniac, but Michelle seemed really great. This whole thing is such a shame.
