Victoria from Merseyside is 25 and first performed Kylie songs at a cabaret night when she was 15. Everyone saw similarities in her performance straight away and she now performs in tribute act I Should Be So Kylie.

The One And Only: Katy Setterfield is… Dusty Springfield

Katy from High Wycombe is 37 and has been performing in the touring stage show That’ll Be The Day for seven years. The show is made up of music from the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies and she performs songs by Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner and Cher. She is a massive fan of Dusty and has always enjoyed performing her songs as part of her show. Read more & comment »

The One And Only: Siam Hurlock is… Diana Ross

Siam, from London is 39 and has just finished performing as Diana Ross in the West End stage show Dancing In The Streets. She starred in the show for two years and says she worked really hard to master Diana’s sensitive and beautiful voice.

The One And Only: Joanna Berns is… Cher

Although people had been telling Joanna, 35, from Hertfordshire that she looked like Cher since she was 16, it wasn’t until ten years ago that she became a Cher tribute act. She now performs both nationally and internationally doing around four shows per week and she also occasionally appears in local musical theatre productions.

Joanna describes her family as the “Von Trapps” as they were five children who performed together for their family and synagogue shows. She says that she has never wanted to do anything other than perform after attending performing arts college and has always felt she was destined for stardom.

She is due to marry her partner, Steve in Las Vegas in February. He also happens to be a singer, occasionally working as an Elvis tribute.

The One And Only: Greg Dorrell is… Rod Stewart

Greg from East London is 41 and has been singing for ten years. He has been performing as Rod Stewart at weddings, birthday parties and corporate events for the past six years.

He discovered he could sing like Rod when an ex-girlfriend commented on how good he was when singing along to one of Rod’s classic songs. Following that, he secured two charity gigs as Rod at the London Palladium and since then he has made a career as a professional tribute act. Read more & comment »

Tony from Lancashire is 27 and started performing as a professional tribute act five and a half years ago. He performs a few times per month; on cruise ships, in pubs, clubs and at parties.

He decided to start out as a Robbie tribute after so many people commented on how similar he was in looks and mannerisms to the star. Read more & comment »

Moni from Middlesex is 27 and works full time for a large supermarket chain. He is currently one half of a singing duo called Soulkool who play most weekends in pubs and clubs.

He has been singing for as long as he can remember and has always been interested in soul and Motown music. Moni has always loved trying to impersonate singers and thinks his strongest act is Lionel Richie, which he describes as “smooth and sexy with style”. Read more & comment »

The One And Only: Anthony Adams is… Frank Sinatra

Anthony from Dorset is 52 years old and has been working as a delivery driver for a frozen food company for the past ten years. He currently performs his Frank Sinatra tribute once or twice a month.

Although he has been singing for 20 years, he has only been singing as Frank for the past four. He decided to perform as Frank following a sound-check with a rock band he performed with; he sang Strangers In The Night and everyone was impressed with how much he sounded like Sinatra. The One And Only: Ed Hintze is … Elton John

Ed from Dorset is 34 years old and teaches music lessons three days per week at a local school, as well as running his own music shop.

He first started singing aged 12. In his early 20s, he worked as a singer most nights in local hotels, bars and clubs singing cover versions.

About nine years ago, people started telling him he sounded like Elton John, but it wasn’t until 2002, after meeting a Tina Turner tribute act, that he started performing as Elton. An experienced piano player Ed is familiar with Elton’s back catalogue. Read more & comment »
