The One And Only Gets Axed

Thank the Lord! Possibly the worst TV talent show in recent years (with the exception of Grease Is The Word of course!) has been axed by the BBC.

The One and Only which aired this winter on BBC One, brought us tribute acts from all over the UK, competing to win a performance contract in Las Vegas. But I have to say the whole thing bored me to tears!

Bring back Just The Two Of Us I say!

Thank goodness for that, the best news I have received
    this year!!!

It is obvious that they scraped the barrel for these acts
because the True Professionals were far to busy Entertaining
their audiences around the Country to even bother applying
who could afford to take 3 months out of their busy scedhules
for a chance to win a Contract in vegas or what true
    proffesional would break their
contracts with clients some of their gigs are booked well
in advance and are regular clients.
Sure it was a fantastic opprtunity for an amateur to have a
shot but an insult to portray the acts featured as the best
the Uk had to offer that is just not true.
It is not a case of sour grapes just professionals fed up with having to justfy why they did not enter or feature on that show
and an insult to call those who did feature the best the
uk has to offer. Most could not enter because their
act was not even listed there were restrictions on acts.
It was embarressing for professionals acts
to watch and Agents who book true professionals out all year
    round. so good riddance!
