After working with Wyclef Jean, R. Kelly, Faith Evans & Kanye West, Cassius Henry shines in Blind audition for The Voice UK

Cassius Henry was one of the singing hopefuls who turned up to try out for The Voice, when the show searched for stars in London earlier this year.

The handsome singer once had a record deal with Universal Records and in 2005, released an album which contained collaborations with Wyclef Jean, So Solid Crew’s Megaman and Ignorants amongst others.

However, he failed to make the final leap and achieve real mainstream success and now, the talented vocalist is trying the reality TV route.

Cassius certainly has music industry experience, having previously opened concerts for artists such as Kanye West, R. Kelly, Faith Evans and Angie Stone. His first single ‘Broke’ got into the UK top 30 back in 2001, and it seemed at that point that Henry may have been on the brink of hitting the big time.

However this success was soon slowed because of a devastating personal tragedy and after his little brother passed away from heart failure, Cassius decided that he needed a bit of a break from music.

But now he’s back and it is expected that Cassius will appear on an episode of The Voice within the next few weeks, before the series reaches it’s Battle Round stages.

Watch the video of Henry performing and tell us, do you think any of the coaches turned around at his blind audition? Which mentor would he be best suited to?
