BBC denies rumours that Tom Jones is leaving The Voice!
BBC bosses have spoken out about reports that Tom Jones is set to follow in the footsteps of two of his co stars and leave The Voice coaching panel.
The legendary Welsh singer has served for two series on the singing competition and revealed recently that he would only come back for a third if Danny O’Donoghue also returned.
However just a few weeks ago The Script star revealed that he will not be appearing on the 2014 run, just days after Jessie J also confirmed her departure.
This morning so called insiders claimed that the ‘Delilah’ singer would be the next to jump ship but a spokesperson for the BBC has denied the reports, saying:
“It is not true that either Tom or will have decided to leave. The line-up is still to be confirmed and we are in ongoing conversations.”
The final of the 2013 series aired last month and culminated with Northern Irish signer Andrea Begley taking the winner’s title.
Tom later tweeted about the result saying:
“Thanks for all your support and amusing thoughts re TheVoice, fun times indeed! xxx;-)”
“So VOICE UK 2 done and dusted – all superb talent and performances, proud to see hear and know u all – ALL THE BEST xxx”
“Congratulations to Andrea! and to Danny for bringing her along so beautifully–great team work, that’s what it’s about x”
