Cheryl Cole banned The Voice staff from using her surname? (VDEO)
Cheryl Cole is said to have insisted that no one used her surname when she performed on The Voice last weekend.
The former X Factor judge showcased her new single ‘Call My Name’ on the BBC show on Saturday’s semi final bu insisted that she was introduced as just ‘Cheryl’ by presenters Reggie Yates and Holly Willoghby.
The blonde beauty is trying t rid herself from any connection with her cheating ex-husband Ashley ole, who she divorced almost two years ago after discovering that he slept with at least five other women during their marriage.
Insiders say that she is determined to become known as just ‘Cheryl’ as she forges ahead with her solo music career.
“Her entourage made it clear to us that she must only be called Cheryl,” a BBC insider told The Daily Star.
They added:
“We weren’t to use surnames under any circumstances.”
