Five Star’s Deniece Pearson will shine on The Voice UK this Saturday (VIDEO)

We already revealed that former Five Star singer Deniece Pearson tried out for The Voice earlier this year and we can now reveal that her audition will be featured on This Saturday’s show.

The singer was the lead vocalist of her family based pop group back in the 1980s and wrote many of their hit songs, however she is keen to put her cheesy pop days behind her and return to the spotlight again, this time as a serious and mature singer songwriter.

Insiders have told Unreality TV that Denise’s performance at the London auditions for the BBC show was nothing less than awe inspiring, however it is not yet known if any of the four celebrity coaches spun in their chair and requested that she join their team for the Battle Rounds.

Deniece certainly has industry experience on her side and since Five Star disbanded back in 2001, she has went on to collaborate with stars such as Bros singer Matt Goss and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic. Pearson also has stage experience behind her and in 2009 the Essex based singer made her West End Theatre debut in the show Thriller – Live.

Check out the video of her 2009 single ‘Here I Am’ and tell us if you think she good enough for the live shows.

Other hopefuls who will perform on Saturday’s show include David Julien, Heshima Thompson, Kerry Ellis and Matt Clubb & Sueleen Fletcher aka Amber Room.
