From ITV’s Superstar, Nathan James brings the rock to The Voice UK (VIDEO)

We’ve had folk singers, ballad singers, soul singers and indie singers and this weekend, we will be seeing a bona fide rock singer on BBC’s The Voice.

With his long blonde locks and plentiful facial hair Nathan James certainly looks the part and he even has a celebrity fan! The performer was once described by X Factor’s Simon Cowell as:

“A male Joss Stone and a young Michael Bolton”

Nathan has links to former Voice contestant Kerry Ellis too, having performed at the West End star’s ‘Coming Home’ concert just last month. How strange would it be if he was her support act last month, yet won a place on the TV show in which she failed to pass even the first round?

James has previously admitted that he is inspired by classic rock stars such as Steven Tyler, Axl Rose, Elton John, Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury and we know for a fact that he also fancied himself as Jesus and tried out for ITV’s Superstar earlier this year.

The singer also auditioned for The X Factor back in 2005 but never reached the live shows..

Listen to Nathan singing and tell us, do you think he has a place on The Voice? Leave your comments below.
