MORE DETAILS ON BO BRUCE’S AUDITION FOR THE VOICE, INCLUDING VIDEO HERE.
The Voice isn’t due to hit our TV screens until this spring, most likely around April time, but we have some great titbits of gossip from the London auditions for the show, which took place earlier this month.
As well as Amy Winehouse’s pal Tyler James, another act said to have greatly impressed the judges – Jessie J, Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donaghue – was former Orange UnsignedAct finalist Bo Bruce.
Bo last appeared on our TV screens in the Channel Four talent competition back in 2008. In it, bands and artists competed for a recording contract with Universal Music, a £60,000 advance, a single released after the series, an album deal and a multi-media marketing campaign.
During the series, Bo became known best for her self penned track ‘Fighting Arizona,’ which she revealed was inspired by a friend, a recovering addict who had almost been “lost to the US federal prison system”.
Insiders have told Unreality TV that when Bruce auditioned for The Voice less than two weeks ago, she stunned more than one of the judges and easily sailed through to the next round.
You can listen to Bo singing ”Fighting Arizona’ below and tell us what you think of her raspy rock voice.
Also, you may be surprised to find out that the edgy looking singer is actually a lady. Her full title is ‘Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce’, though Bo has previously admitted that she doesn’t have a close relationship with her estranged father, the Earl of Cardigan.
In fact Bruce hasn’t spoken to her dad in seven years and is currently working in a bar, pulling pints for a living. It makes quite the story. Here’s hoping Bo makes the live shows!
