New Jersey’s Siobhan McKenna bookies favourite to win ‘The Voice of Ireland’

RTE’s new talent show The Voice of Ireland is beginning to find its feet after the second show threw up some real talent on Sunday night. Of the singers that were handpicked to go through to the next round, there was one girl that stood out a mile and Irish bookies Paddy Power are already tipping her to go the distance!

Siobhan McKenna, originally from New Jersey, has been installed as Paddy Power’s 7/2 favourite to be crowned The Voice of Ireland after wowing the judges and audience at home with a stunning version of Beyonce’s ‘Listen’.

The US born songstress is followed in the betting by Christina Foran at 9/2 and Conor J Ryan, who was the first contestant to get votes from all four judges, at 6/1.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “Last week’s episode of The Voice has finally proved what we already knew – we’ve got plenty of talent in Ireland, it was just a matter of finding it. Siobhan stands out for us at the moment but there are still plenty more acts to hear!”

Siobhan is originally from New Jersey but has been living in Dublin since she was 13. She was signed to an independent label from 2008-2009 and she once toured with American music star Sean Kingston.

Of the four judges, Westlife star Kian Egan is the 13/8 favourite to mentor this year’s winning act followed by Bressie at 5/2, Brian at 11/4 and Sharon at 7/2.

Surprised Liam Geddes isn’t on the list there, he’s one of my faves so far with Connor Quinn. Siobhan was amazing though!
