The Voice 2012: Ruth-Ann St Luce knows she has ‘a lot to prove’ in Ben Kelly battle!
Ruth-Ann St Luce went into The Voice battle rounds as the underdog, after her disastrous blind audition, when will.i.am laughed at Jessie J for offering the young singer a place in her team.
During her tryout, St Luce had serious tuning issues, though Jessie put them all down to nerves, but when the ‘Domino’ hitmaker paired the teen performer against internet sensation and talented stage man Ben Kelly, the younger contestant was very worried.
She admitted:
‘I’m lucky to be here right now. I’ve got a lot to prove, more than anyone else.’
However Jessie may have tried to make things a little easier for Ruth, by giving the pair Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ as their Battle song.
It is a track way out of Ben’s comfort zone and that gave St Luce at least some chance to try to match him on stage.
Tune into tonight’s show to see who Jessie picks for the lives and who she sends home. But in the meantime, leave your comments below about who you want to stay.
