The Voice 2013: Annie Lennox may join the show as a coach!

As fans of The Voice UK will know, so far, only Danny O’Donoghue and Will.i.am have confirmed that they will return to the show next year, however, today’s TV Biz reckons that veteran singer Annie Lennox may join the coaching line-up in 2013.

Annie, lead singer of hit band Eurythmics – whose biggest hit was arguably There Must Be An Angel – resurfaced in the public’s consciousness after her stunning performances during both the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

A The Voice insider told the Sun, “Annie would be a great signing. She really knows her eggs.

“Last year’s judges were great but it would be nice to inject some new blood into the panel too.

“Last year Sir Tom proved that experience really counts and Annie’s got that in spades…

“She’s not afraid to give an opinion either.”

What do you think? Would Annie be a good addition to the show?

To be perfectly honest, I’m very surprised that the BBC has re-commissioned the show for a second run, because it didn’t exactly sparkle in the ratings did it?

And of course, the spin-off tour was cancelled due to basically lack of interest, and a few weeks ago, only a handful of people turned up to audition for the new series.

Will you be watching The Voice UK next year?
