The Voice 2013 knockouts preview: Joseph Apostol up against Adam Barron & Ragsy (VIDEO)

Joseph Apostol sailed through the recent battle round episode of The Voice and despite the brilliant performance put on by his opponents Diva, the talented singer was the obvious choice when Tom Jones was choosing one act for the knockout stages.

This weekend Jo is singing for survival again, as Tom is forced to whittle down his seven remaining singers to just three and in the clip below, you can see that he is going head to head with rockers Adam Barron and Ragsy.

For his performance, shy Apostol chooses the classic track ‘A Song For You’ by Donny Hathaway and from the clip that has been uploaded to BBC’s Youtube, we’d say he smashes his vocals totally.

Danny O’Donoghue is visibly excited by the performance and Tom Jones looks like he may be gloating a little over the obvious talent in his team.

Jo has built up quite a fanbase since his first blind audition aired earlier this year and this week he has been inundated with positive tweets such as:

“I just watched The Voice from Sat. Jesus Christ.. @JoeApostol there is something truly special about your voice. Well done… You’re a star!”

” Hey Joe. you’ve got an amazing voice mate, looking forward to heating more of you”
