Sources close to Danny O’Donoghue insisted that he was not dating Bo Bruce yesterday, however recent events have suggested that perhaps there is more to the pair’s relationship than meets the eye.

The Script frontman had been dating stunning model Irma Mali but insiders say he has now dumped the beauty, fueling rumours that he and his final Voice contestant have gotten close.

On Saturday night’s final Danny and Bo performed together and their duet on ‘Read All About It’ was electrically charged and at the end it seemed at one point as if they would kiss.

As well as their sizzling duet, Danny added to the speculation surrounding his relationship with the 27 year old singer when he broke down in tears when talking about how ‘inspirational’ Bo was throughout the competition.

A show insider told The Mirror that his new single status has started tongues wagging. They said:

“He’s told people that he and Irma are ‘on a break’.

“No one knows if he and Bo are together for sure but the rumours are circulating like crazy.

“Everyone wants it to be true because we all love a romance and they seem so happy.”

Bo may not have won the competition on Saturday and she was pipped to the post by powerhouse vocalist Leanne Mitchell on the night. However Danny said yesterday that he was keen to help her write songs for her debut album, which he is sure she will land a deal for any day now.

He admitted that he hopes to stay in touch with the aristocratic performer and wants to support her as she continues to look after her terminally ill mum.

Last night he was busy promoting her on Twitter, asking people to go to iTunes and download her EP. Danny wrote:
