The Voice UK auditions kick off in London with Will.i.am, Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue

Auditions for the BBC’s brand new singing show The Voice kicked off in London yesterday.

Celebrity judges Will.i.am, Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue all turned up to BBC’s Television centre on Thursday afternoon, to begin whittling down the hopefusl who had already been passed by producers at earlier tryouts.

Jessie revealed that she loved the process and had an ‘amazing day’ and told her Twitter followers:

“Long amazing day at ‘The Voice UK’ home to phoners and interviews!! :D (and dinner) :)

However, Black Eyed Peas star Will wasn’t quite so psyched and tweeted:

I am sooo jet lagged…it hurts…I need #willpower

The Voice UK will be presented by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates and is due to go up against ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in Spring 2012 on BBC One.
