Watch a video of Bo Bruce’s emotional performance on The Voice tonight here…..
The Voice contestant Bo Bruce – whose real name is Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce – may quit the competition in order to spend time with, and care for, her seriously ill mother.
However, while she’s spending as much time with her mother in hospital as possible, she’s also reportedly in the process of taking out an injunction against her father, David Brudenell-Bruce, the Earl of Cardigan, in order to keep him away from The Voice studios.
With regard to Bo’s mother and her illness, a friend of the singer’s told The Sun, “Bo is all over the place. She can’t focus on anything except her mother’s welfare.
“She’s been by her bedside all week. Her mum is desperately unwell and Bo doesn’t want to leave her.
“It’s a tough week for her anyway as she was having to juggle hospital visits with rehearsals.
“It is her dream to succeed on the show but she can’t give it 100 per cent as she is sick with worry…”
The paper adds, “What is worse, Bo has picked an emotional Kate Bush song to sing on tonight’s BBC1 show. She has chosen Running Up That Hill, which contains the powerful line: ‘And if I only could, I’d make a deal with God, and get him to swap our places.’”
And it seems the show’s bosses are deciding whether they should air footage of Bo talking about her mother’s illness or not.
The Voice continues tonight at 7PM and this evening it is the turn of Team Jessie and Team Danny to take to the stage. The ten acts will all give individual performances, before two are sent home on tomorrow’s pre-recorded results show.
