The Voice UK: Lana Del Rey will sing live in first results show!

It’s been confirmed by the BBC that – in their efforts to bring out the big guns with which to shoot Simon Cowell’s shows down – in next week’s first-ever The Voice UK results show, US crooner Lana Del Ray will perform live…

Well, live-ish, given that it’s also been revealed that the results show is to be pre-recorded on Saturday night, which will, without doubt, lead to lots of leaks about who makes and who doesn’t.

However, the news about Lana was broken via The Voice UK’s Twitter page, and read, “To clarify: @LanaDelRey is performing on the results show next Sunday (April 29th) & @emelisande the Sunday after (May 6th). Happy Sundays.”

It has of course also been reported that our homegrown Cheryl Cole will debut her new single, Call My Name, on The Voice…

However, the last time Lana sang live – which was on US hit show Saturday Night Live – she was widely criticised for her performance.

But Metro report that she responded to the criticism by remarking, “If I have other things to think about, or I’m trying to get things done for somebody else, and I’m not in my own way, then… I’m like, ‘This doesn’t really matter’.”
