The Voice UK: Old style teenager Aleks Josh is managed by Leona Lewis’ ex-boyfriend Lou Al-chamaa
16 year old singer/songwriter Aleks Josh is set to shine on The Voice this weekend.
The talented teenager has been making quite a name for himself on YouTube and already has some celebrity backers, one being Leona Lewis’ ex-boyfriend Lou Al-chamaa.
The former former electrician turned A&R scout for Sony records saw something he liked when he heard Aleks sing at a party last year and soon after, signed the Stevenage performer to his company LAMM Management.
Josh – who’s last name is Serbian and difficult to pronounce, so for his music career he uses his first and middle names – will be seen this weekend making his bid to impress Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O’Donoghue and Will.i.am and on why he thinks he stands out from the crowd, the young singer recently said:
“I feel my voice is much different from most people as it has a older tone but I’m still young and I’m looking forward to creating young fun songs!”
We can see why people would think that Alek is older than he is, as he admits that his musical influences include The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Bob Dylan, none of which have featured regularly in the singles chart since he has been born.
Watch Aleks perform below and tell us, do you think he can impress the judges enough to make the Battle Rounds?
The Voice returns to our screens for it’s second episode this Saturday night. Other hopefuls who will make an appearance include David Julien, Heshima Thompson, Kerry Ellis and Matt Clubb & Sueleen Fletcher aka Amber Room.
