The Voice: Will.i.am bought iPads for all show staff – performs with Stevie Wonder at Diamond Jubilee Concert (VIDEO)
Will.i.am certainly is a generous man.
The Black Eyed Peas star is said to have treated all the staff on The Voice to their very own iPads last week and told them to keep tweeting about what was happening behind the scenes.
The American singer was told off by show bosses for using the social networking site while the show was airing, however he refused to stop, saying that it helped him connect with the audience.
He then insisted that the crew did the same, and The Daily Star reports that he told them:
“Keep on Tweeting. It’s the future.”
Meanwhile, Will has become pretty immersed in British culture over the last few weeks.
Last month he carried the Olympic torch in a procession around London and yesterday Will took to the stage as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert.
The event was organised by Take That star Gary Barlow and Will.i.am joined Jessie J on stage for a performance of his hit song ‘I Gotta Feeling.
He later returned to perform with Stevie Wonder, who sang ‘Sir Duke’, ‘Isn’t She Lovely’, ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Superstition’ for the occasion.
