The Voice’s Bo Bruce devastated after mother’s death – fans send messages of condolence
Bo Brouce is in mourning this evening, after her management team confirmed that her mother has passed away.
The stunning singer recently finished in second place on the first ever series of BBC’s The Voice, despite the fact that she effectively split her time between the TV studio and her mum’s hospital bed throughout the run.
Her mother was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer and died this week at her Marlborough home after battling the disease for 6 months.
Posting today on her Facebook page, the quirky star wrote:
‘Light a candle, thousands of us, light a candle,’
She had written previously:
‘I’m reading all your words. Your support is like nothing i’ve ever experienced, thankyou 4 your love, it is so felt & i am passing it on X’
A message on her official website adds: ‘Bo would like to thank all of you for the messages of love and support, they mean so much to her.
‘Bo promises she will be back before too long. She is spending quiet time with her close friends and family.’
The star recently cancelled an appearance at T In The Park to spend time with her mum.
Fans have been sending her messages of condolence ever since the news broke today. One wrote:
‘@bo_bruce so sorry to hear you lost your mother carry on your singing do her proud x x’
