Marvin Humes has today been added to The Voice UK family. Humes will co-present The Voice UK with Emma Willis, who was announced as a new presenter on Saturday.
Humes who is better known as a member of highly successful British boyband JLS completes the presenting line-up for the third series of the show.
Not only that, Marvin recently presented This Morning with his wife Rochelle Humes and he also helms his own radio show on Capital FM.
The news was announced this evening via the The Voice UK website, in which Marvin says he is “so excited” to be a part of the show.
He said: “I’m so excited to be a part of the new series of ‘The Voice’. I have always been a big fan of the show and love that musicians are given such a great opportunity to reach such a wide audience. I’m thrilled to be working alongside Emma and be part of a new team on The Voice. It’s going to be even bigger and better with this new series. I can’t wait to start.”
Marvin wrote on Twitter this evening: “Yes the rumours are true..I’m thrilled to be a part of @BBCTheVoiceUK family..Co-hosting with @Emma_Willis is gonna be amazing! So excited!”
Rochelle also tweeted her support, writing: “So proud of my @MarvinHumes becoming the new host of @BBCTheVoiceUK so so exciting!! Such a proud wifey right now. love you lots xxx (sic)”
Emma Willis and Marvin Humes will take over the reins from Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates who have decided to exit the show. In a statement released last week, Willoughby said she would like to spend more time with her family but has had the best two years working on The Voice UK.
The show has been slowly losing viewers since it began back in 2011 on the BBC as part of a major revamp of the show, we now have two brand new presenters and two new coaches. One of which is Kylie Minogue and the other is yet to be announced.
The Voice UK is set to return in January 2014.
