WAgs Boutique: BOWS Boutique Win First Day Trading!

WAGS Boutique

Its week three in ITV2’s WAGS Boutique competition and things are beginning to hot up.

Bows win the battle of first day’s trading

With the shops attracting customers in their droves, Bows emerge victorious from the first day of trading. They took a grand total of £2,048 while Better Half racked up £1,898. Even at this early stage the competition between the two shops is heating up!

Better Half Girls Targeted in Break In

The girls at Better Half were in for more bad news when they arrived at work the next day to find their newly opened boutique had been broken into overnight. The police believe the thieves are a “crack team of boutique raiders who target shops around Bond Street. It is the first time the burglars have targeted a shop outside this area. Jadene Bircham (wife of QPR’s Marc Bircham), Charlotte Mears (girlfriend of Spurs Jermain Defoe), Cassie Sumner (ex girlfriend of Chelsea’s Michael Essien) Heather Swan (soon to be Mrs Michael Chopra, Cardiff) and Elle Isaac (girlfriend of Crystal Palace’s Paul Ifill), were left feeling scared and vulnerable following the burglary. Rival shop Bows next door was left untouched.

The thieves sped up to the shop based at 34 Marshall Street on motorbikes and were wearing helmets to conceal their identity. The ruthless pair smashed down the door of Better Half in a smash and grab, making away with two designer bags worth £450 each, leaving behind the shops most expensive item – a £4,150 Antonio Berardi jacket. Police believe the culprits were disturbed before they could make away with more items - all of which are being sold for charity.

Initial reactions from the girls included:

Charlotte Mears: “We are hated girls, someone hates us.

Jadene: “Somebody really really really hates us. I honestly think it’s because someone has watched the programme and they don’t like us as a team, they hate us.

However, after the police had been called, the girls were reassured.

Charlotte Mears: “I thought maybe it’s someone we know or that one of us has an enemy but police have assured us it has happened in this area before.

Elle Isaac: “I felt panic and fear when I first saw the state of the shop and was not sure if it was a personal vendetta against the shops or whether it was just a random attack. We have been told by the police this kind of thing has happened several times so we have been reassured its nothing personal.

Police are investigating the crime and are in possession of CCTV footage. Do the girls have an enemy targeting the shops or was it a random attack? Only time will tell…

The Teams Take To The Streets in Wagmobiles!

The WAGs are set their first challenge by Ann Summers supremo Jacqueline Gold. She tasks the girls with setting up and running their own websites – but first they have to market it. How will they fare? The girls take to the streets to spread the word, setting up TV and radio interviews to promote the sites and doing everything they can to get customers through the door. The winning team will be the one who impresses the Jacqueline the most. But first, the shop manager for the week is revealed. Maddy is selected as Bows manager while Heather is chosen for Better Half. Maddy and Heather decide on which two girls should hit the challenge trail.

Representing Bows are Julie and Krystell while Heather decides to send the two feistiest members of Better Half – Cassie and Jadene. The specially customised WAGmobiles arrive to transport the teams around town as they compete against each other to try to complete their challenge.

Bows wangle a spot on Magic’s breakfast show with Neil Fox while Better Half flirt outrageously with Heart FM breakfast host Jamie Theakston. “Someone’s gotta do it says Cassie.

When asked by Jamie “you are WAG of whom? Cassie explains that she has been de-wagged and has lost her WAG status. Jadene who is sitting next to Cassie in the studio simply responds “she got dumped. When Jamie does a quick fire quiz with the girls, not surprisingly, they draw a blank to the question ‘who is current Chancellor of the Exchequer?’ When Jamie asks “what is the numerical ratio of pi? Cassie answers “chicken and mushroom!

Next day, Cassie and Jadene make an appearance on Radio 1 while Julie and Krystell up the ante by featuring on Soccer AM. The pressure gets too much for Jadene after her interview finishes and she breaks down in tears after speaking to her son on the phone.

Bows Don’t Escape Bad Luck

Bows don’t escape the bad luck which hit the shops this week when they discover a leak in the ceiling. The leak was so bad the ground floor of the shop had to be closed all day on Friday which meant the girls lost out on vital sales. Can Better Half use this to their advantage and catch up in the sales stakes?

Michaela Does a Runner

With Julie and Krystell busy with the challenge, Maddy takes her role as Manager very seriously. While Nicola gets her hands dirty clearing up the mess caused by the leak, Maddy clashes with Michaela who has been skiving and taking two hour lunch breaks.

Perhaps Michaela thought running a boutique was going to be easy? “We’ve had no fun. It’s all been like busy, busy, busy, work, work, work – we haven’t had time to have any fun. I don’t like it when we don’t have fun.

The next day, the pair clash again when Maddy keeps delaying Michaela’s lunch break. Michaela eventually does get a break but only when she escapes and makes a dash for the nearest sandwich shop! Maddy is not happy saying: “Michaela is an immature child and maybe if she worked a bit harder I would give her a lunch hour. Could the cracks be appearing in the previously harmonious Bows?

Another WAG Bites The Dust…

Another week on WAGs Boutique and it’s another relegation in the relationship stakes. Following a story in the tabloids on Saturday morning, Michaela sits her fellow team mates down to break the news that she has split from her boyfriend of four years Stewart Downing. It all becomes too much and Michaela dissolves in tears. She is comforted by Nicola who tells her “forget it, lets go work. We’ve got hoovering to do!

This week’s WAG-isms

Cassie Sumner:

During a conversation with the rest of Better Half about what had been stolen during the burglary: “those (two) bags were £500 each, so they’ve taken like £1,500 worth of stuff…

Julie Phillips:

About to do a radio interview with Neil Fox on Magic FM: “what are we actually doing then, are we interviewing with him (Neil Fox) not with the headphones or anything?

Nicola T:

While comforting an upset Michaela: “You look pretty when you cry. I look well ugly when I cry.

  1. Julie Harding says:

I think that the Bows girls have come across as much nicer people than the better half team. They seem more grounded. I think that Cassie and jaydene let the other team down with their arrogant behaviour

  2. Georgia says:

I thin bows seem a lot more down to earth and pull together and support eachother too.

Better half seem to be more interested in themselves ad are afraid of hard work.
