It is being alleged in The Sun that Cassie Sumner, one of the WAGS taking part in ITV2’s WAGS Boutique is there under false pretenses.
Cassie claimed to be dating Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien, but the spokesman for the Ghana star said: “Michael does know Cassie and sees her as a friend — but there is nothing more to it than that.
“He does not know where this has come from — he is 100 per cent single.�
Cassie and Essien were pictured together at a nightclub last month, but Essien, 24, insists there is nothing going on with the former £3,000 escort girl.
What will happen now? How will the girls react to the news that Cassie is a fake…..she’s already fighting with her rival team, so how will her own team mates react to the latest news? Tune in and see I suppose.

If she is not a WAG, surely it makes a mockery of the show?
I can’t say I’m disappointed. To me, it’s not the marital status of the person that matters, but how much of a materialistic shopping whore they are. And judging by the last episode where Ms. Sumner spent about £2,000 on clothes in Paris, she’s got it.
I’m sure that once she’s finished spending ITV’s money, there’ll be a footballer out there who’ll shack up with her and take care of the credit card addiction.
i have to disagree by saying that this is not the first time the sun has made a false claim of cassie sumner , after all i believe she was dating him when the series began but they split during the series. This i think itshouldnt affect the show now because after all i think she must of bin going out with her or why didnt michael say sumthin before.

ALSOne of these girls should be named wags anyway, all they are doing is earning a living maybe sharing a partners in a serious relationship….all it is, is a normal lifestyle thing to do magnified by the amount of money they spend.

I’ve read some of the comments and why have a go at Michael if he says they’re not in a relationship. It’s not his loss (as long as he can play football and earn good money he’ll be fine), he’s not the one appearing on WAGS boutique (WAG being the operative word here!). Get over it!
I think that Essian, is soooo stupid to lie like that, it is obvious they were a couple. He can’t erase the time they spent together!!!
