This year’s twelve X Factor finalists, including John and Edward Grimes, will return for the show’s grand finale.

TalkbackThames entertainment chief Richard Holloway revealed at a press conference that they are planning a huge celebration over the Saturday and Sunday shows.

Holloway said: “This is the biggest final we’ve ever done. Saturday and Sunday, two hours on both nights, it’s going to be absolutely full of surprises.

“We’ve got some amazing guests that will appear. You’ll see all of the 12 artists over the weekend, they’re all coming back to join us in this great celebration.”

He added: “We are unbelievably proud of the success of the show this year. We changed all the auditions… something we almost did at the last minute which has worked really, really well for us.

“We’ve been number one every week since we’ve been on the air, we’re absolutely chuffed with it and we never taken anything for granted.”
