The previous winner of Strictly Come Dancing, Alesha Dixon, has joined the fray over Louis Walsh’s decision to vote off X Factor hopeful Laura White.

Speaking to Radio 1 during the Breakfast Show, Alesha said,

“He shouldn’t have picked out of Laura and Ruth, he should have taken it to deadlock. You should let the public decide”

Alesha also suggested that Louis decision may have been in part because he wanted one of Cheryl’s acts to leave the competition.

“He was just being spiteful towards Cheryl – it was tactical” she added.

Laura White’s shock exit from the contest has even been discussed in Parliament when Culture Secretary Andy Burnham described the decision to vote Laura off the show as “very harsh”.
