Former Mystique singer, Alesha Dixon is said to be planning to go head to head with the X Factor winner this Christmas. BBC are planning to release a version of the Strictly Come Dancing theme tune, titled ‘Let’s Go Dancing’, and Alesha Dixon who is currently competing on the show is said to be favourite to record it.

“We hope one of the show’s stars will sing it and propel it to the top,” Dan McGrath, who co-wrote the track with Josh Phillips, told the Sunday Mirror. “Strictly is winning the ratings war – now we’re going to pile on the agony.”

He added: “We’re expecting Simon Cowell to be crying into his Christmas turkey.”
