The X Factor rolled into Manchester this week and Gary Barlow thinks he might have found himself a winner.

The Take That star was reportedly so impressed with the audition of talented crooner Alex Pelzer, that he told the American singer he was the best male act he has seen so far.

High praise indeed!

Alex was given two chances to shine and performed Marvin’s Room by Drake and Man Down by Rihanna for the panel, receiving a standing ovation from Gary, Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and guest judge Mel B for both tracks.

Another singer who stood out at the tryouts was young female performer Amy Webster. She may have broken down in tears after receiving some positive comments from the panel, but audience members told Unreality TV that she came across as a very genuine and talented young woman.

The judges enjoyed her rendition of Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ and told the hopeful that she has a ‘good recording voice.’
