Cheryl Cole’s brother has revealed that his sister is determined to crack the American market, in a bid to recover from her failed marriage.

Spaking to The Mirror, Andrew Tweedy said that the X Factor judge plans to make the most of her current level of fame and push ahead with plans to launch her career stateside.

He said: “Ashley did not like her going to America and was trying to hold her back in her career.

“Now she’s going to grab her chance with both hands and make the most of the opportunities.

“Selling up here and going to America could be a fresh start for her, which is just what she needs.

“She knows that if she does not do it now then she may not get another chance. She has never been more famous.

“Cheryl knows she has a big chance to crack the American market with her album and she is going to make the most of it.”
