Andy Abraham really stood out last saturday night. Not only did he perform amazingly and with supreme confidence but he also managed to get excellent comments from all the judges…no mean feat I’m sure you’ll agree.

This achievment is doubly impressive when you consider that Andy only had one day to rehearse his song and the other contestants had most of the week. Andy left the UK and flew to Grenada for his mums funeral where he remained until Thursday.

A show insider said last night: “Andy’s mum died just under a month ago.

“Despite everything he’s been through he hasn’t moaned or made excuses, he’s just got on with it.

“The judges — his mentor Sharon but the others too — have been blown away with his maturity and staggering ability to out-perform everyone else just days after his mum’s funeral.

“Everyone has been talking about it — he’s pretty special.�
