you proud of me i am doing this for the judgers and i am going to sing for you
the song i am going to sing is by shayne wards
old album stand by me all i want to do is make
my own songs and to sing them all to you 4 so
i am a bit nervers but i can do this i can
make this happen all i want to do is to be on the show and to win the
commation all i want is to be thier on time and sing on stage so i want to have this change to get this

  2. natasha says:

leona lewis is a great singer but she seems
to try and sing like mariah carey.
The key is to being a gud solo’ist
is to sing the songs your own way.
not by trying to sing like the original
singer.i recently applied for x factor as i think i have what it takes to get through
    the first couple of rounds.

    thankyou for
    listening to my veiw

thank you this is my one and only chance

  12. Laurie says:

I am slightly confused - maybe someone can answer my query.
I am 13 y/o right now, but I will be turning 14 in May 2008. I’ve looked up sign up forms for X Factor, but it says that the auditions are “estimated” to be next April. I have not entered as I have a feeling you have to be 14 by the first audition, although it is not clear. Quite annoyed that I am a month too young, especially as the dates aren’t even confirmed yet.
Anyways, if anyone finds out any better or clearer info, please reply to this post. This is quite important to me as I’d love to audition and I know I can sing.
    Luv Laurie

Ive wanted to be on this show for a little while now,
and was going to audition last year,
but couldn’t as i was 3 weeks too young.
i filled all the forms out but my mum and dad wouldn’t sign…
so this year im going to audition, with my grandpa as my escort.
Iv been in many shows and im playing the part “Fantine” in “Les Mis…”
at the Preston Playhouse in April! iv also won a singing competition and since im not that good at English, maths, science, but i can act, play the piano (grade 7) and sing. so i hope to get through (1st audition, and thats all) i would love to get through to the live stage… but i don’t exspect to win! I just want a chance to supprise people of what i can do when i put my mind to it!
    thanks for reading, nicola xxx

  30. Gordon says:

I’m applying to try and change my family’s lives, we have been stricken with bills and debts we owe to the government over benifets which were rightfully ours, now the only way to get out of this slump is for me to do something extraordinary and compete to win X-Factor.

I also want to change the face of the competition, because i also think the show is incredibly, undeniably STUPID!!! I wont go into detail about my opinion but one of the things is that it’s turned itself into nothing but a Kareoke competition when the whole thing is about putting on a show for the audience, so if i get the chance, i will show the audience something they havent seen in a really long time, a Jack of all trades.

  31. carl warren says:

i am applyin for the x factor because the previous talent that was on the 2007 show, were not the best!!! music has been my intire life its all i no, i started in a band when i was very young, then we split up because i did not think there was enough dedication, i then went on to go to college from school where i studyed music tech for three years, where i did alot of production in music and djing, and vocals i meet up with another group were we did the biggist gig we have done at the embassey centre, but i want to be solo i feel that my voice is to distinct to be in a band or group, i am doing this for my family and my self, and if i get in the auditions i will prove i have what it takes.

  32. Marie says:

With reguards to the X factor auditions. Will the X factor be coming to newcastle or sunderland this year.

  33. Leanne says:

    Hiya,

Ive been watching X-Factor now for years and Ive got to admit there has been some exeptional talent. Leona Lewis, Gareth Gates, Will Young are all success in there own rights….

Im applying not because I am good at singing or even good at entertaining but I believe there is something different about me, I have a good voice and attract a croud with my attributes BUT I am not overly confident and dont think I will even get through second round but I will try my hardest and hopefully achieve my dream.

There is alot of people who will think I am utterely useless but I hope to make myself proud and overcome obvious anxiety and nervousness when stood infront of Mr. Simon Cowell, I hope I impress every Judge and audiances at home with my uniuqness.

See you all soon at auditions

:-) Good Luck to every one who enters, we all want th same outcome x

  34. Zoe Haines says:

i am 19yrs old soon to be 20 all i want to do really is sing i spend most of my time singing and all of you people who think you have a good voice go for you never know if there will be another chanceot do it so go on apply it all for fun not just about winning.

  35. Zoe Haines says:

that’s why i am applying for the x factor i have always wanted i have had chance to go before but havn’t been able to afford to go and i am hopeing if i get in this time that i will go no matter what and show everyone that i can sing and that i am good at what i do.

  39. jennie says:

iv applied for x factor 3 times now and the last 2 times i neva got through to the next round the closest iv been to the judges is about 20 seat rows away from the stage in manchester wen shane ward was there at united stadium we had to sing actually outside in front of evryone i was so nervouse i didnt deserve to go through but the last one was at a hotel in manchester i sang in front of a judge not a famouse one but i think i did really well and he didnt even look at me wen i stopped he looked up and said sorry not this time thanx i even saw dermot oleary lol so this time is third time lucky so please wish me luck i just want to see the judges and see what they think im 23 years old a mum of 1 so if any judges read this please put me throgh please it would absolutly be my dreams come true xx

  40. jennie says:

i wake up evry single morning singin sometimes i hit the notes sometimes i dont but i bet thata same wiv evryone i recently sang at a fundraiser for a friend of mine who was sadly killed 5 months ago and i had 2 songs to sing first and second half and i was so scared that i chickened out the first half but by the end of the second half i sang the last song of the night stage all to myself and i never imagined how amazing it would be i loved evrysingle minuite and evryone joined in and the amount of ppl sayin how good i was so so confidence boosting so please let me have a chance to show how good i am to the world xx i will apply for any competition xx pleeeeeasse

  42. Cilla Spiller says:

I would have entered my Daughter in Law who is excellent but judging by the last series the best singers don’t win, only the Karaoke pretty boys!

  43. Pete Wiseman says:

Cilla I agree I won’t even bother to watch this series after last years travesty.

  44. Amarilla says:

    hi

  45. Vanessa Murphy says:

I applied to be on xfactor for the simple reason, I have never been to a proper audition, like this, to find out how good of a singer I actually am. Fair enough when people tell you that you are good but actually being in an xfactor audition and if possible making it to the next round really shows me my abilities. I’m really excited to find out about the auditions, when there taking place. This is really exciting!!! GOOD LUCK…

  46. Lisa McGarry says:

  47. evie says:

hiya..im thinkin of entering in 2008 because someone said that that you can audition in Ireland..but when i tried to apply on itv.com site it didn’t have cork or dublin as one of the venues.. but if you send a letter what do you have to put inside it, your adsress and your name or everything that they ask for on the itv site?
    please help!!

  48. trina says:

    hi,

just wont to say, im auditioning for x factor 2008, because i enjoy singing, i would like to think iv got what it takes 2 win the show, but at the same time it would be gr8 to no where i need to improve, everyone gose on the show thinkin they can win and i dont think thats the right attitude to have, ye if your good n you have conidance then farplay, but dont make out like you are better than everyone else, no one is better, we are all diffrent

so good luck to anyone who is entering, hope you get where you wont to.

  49. Lisa McGarry says:

There are no Irish auditons this year! I am gutted!

  55. cazza says:

i am 14 and wanted 2 say wots even da point of avin x factor it is fixed last year i tried to vote for rhidian but i couldnt get through and leon who won cant even sing a single note in tune, so it will pointless me even enterin!!!

  56. angeline says:

this is a fix show they know b4 hand who is going to win, i would never put myself through the auditions knowing i wouldnt stand a chance, the poeple who get through always ends up having some kind of history b4 hand. what a fix !!!!

  57. Alana says:

  62. dina says:

i am 16 this year 2008 in april and i really want to go on the x factor but i dont think im good enough and can my voice improve if i practice for next year to go on the show
and laso simon cowell is so wicked but he really makes me nervous when im watching him on tv so im afraid i would mess up in the auditions lol please write back thanks very much

  63. Naomi Welsh says:

I luv the xfactor and luv all the judges. I hope to enter the xfactor some day i cant this year because i am only 13 yrs old and ive been told that i have a good voice so mybe in 2009 i’ll give it a go. I would really want to win it but even if i dont i would still get noticed. I think it would be a great experience it would also make me more confident look at Leon he was so nervous and now hes confident. I’m glad Leon won he deserved to and he is a lil cutie.

  64. Naomi Welsh says:

apparently most of the famous singers are getting pissed off with the xfactor because they dont understand why they had to work so hard to achieve their dream and a show is making people famous over nite and stealing their place in the music charts.

  98. thetenore says:

I have done the last two shows and got through two rounds the first time but none the second.Just beaware that the first two or three rounds are not in front of the panel but the production team and be aware that the best singers do not always get through. It does undermine the morality of the show when you see people in front of the TV panel who cannot sing an note and you know they have been put through as opposed to better singers becasue they make good tv ratings. So dont be disappointed if you dont get through it does not mean you ahve no ability of or talent.

  99. alana says:

I recieved a letter for the cardiff auditions but lost my letter, gods know how. Is there a number to ring because I cnt remember the date of my audition..im sure its the 11th of may and im thinking do they need to see a letter on the day

  100. EM says:

IYA MI MATES AUDITIONIN IN MANCHESTER N SHE LOST DA LETTER N WE CNT REMEMBER IF IT SATDI OR SUNDAY N NO WEBSITE TELLS YA AT ALL , ANY1 KNOW????????

  101. phil says:

I went to the auditions in Manchester yesterday, and the whole day was a nightmare. These people treat the public like cattle. Making them wave and cheers for approx 2 hours in the freezing cold, told us to hide our duvets, hoods or umbrellas to make it look like it was summer (it was BALTIC!) and after an 8 hour wait in the cold, some of the best looking/amazing singers were discarded.

    Notes to all people auditioning:

You are judged by ONE judge on the first round.

You only make the televised audition 3rd time around.

You will be stood in the cold for at least 6 hours.

Take lessons in being a performing monkey as opposed to singing lessons.

Get your £10 ready for parking (how do you think they make thier money??)

and lastly, harsh as it sounds, if you are fat, ugly, have spots or are a mediocre performer - don’t even bother trying, you WILL NOT get through!! The bad and bizarre ones you see on tv are all paid actors!

  102. mark pinnock says:

i got through the first audition of the xfactorrrrr.. gotta go back tomorrow at 12pm, wish me luck guysssssss. what a awful day today. freezing and waiting around for 9 hours for 25 seconds of audition. but its well worth the wait. good luck to those auditioning

  103. mark pinnock says:

also i didnt have to pay my tenner for the damn carpark. i blagged em i didnt know lol and they let me in freeeee. they have mad over 150.000 quid just on parking fees today as i found out. thats so unfair. hotdogs £3.80 lol. what a rip off. but we got water free lol from the carfone warehouse crew.

  104. mark pinnock says:

what a load of bollox!!! i went for 2nd round and was treated like feckin sheep…. 9 hrs of waiting to get told i didnt have what they wanted. they let nobheads thorugh. who just looked daft and dressed up. that is not the xfactorrrrrr

  105. Bonnie says:

X Factor Manchester auditions - more like hypothermia factor. 10 Hrs in baltic freezing, cattlemarket conditions.
Letters, to applicants went unchecked but had advised to arrive for 8am. Some had camped from 3am. Vendor prices were sky high but the Carphone Warehouse greatfully gave out free bottles of water. Queing outside was ok despite feet starting to ache but everyone just wanted inside. BIG MISTAKE!!
Eventually at 11am the doors opened but inside, the stadium was a baltic prison as doors were locked, the temperature dropped and it rained. More camera footage was shoot and brollys were banned being told “its only water”.
Eleven black screens were erected but mostly only 8 tv production assistants(not judges), under large black, witches hat, umbrellas took auditions and twice these were reduced to 4 assistants while they rotated lunch and dinner.
With no legroom, nothing to see or do, nowhere to go except the toilet to stretch legs, boredom rose and by 4pm only a third of the crowd had been auditioned and the toilet hand dryer was becoming a thaw out impliment. Irritability rose, tempers flared as people flagged and became frozen and restless while constantly being told by presenters to stop moving and stay in your seats.
The bars & food stalls were very pricey and then closed at 5pm.
I know singers shouldn’t smoke but many do plus what about the people who are there to support auditionees. Some were going down to the exits to have a smoke but security were on trail screaming “your adults, you should know better, put them out or you will be evicted from the stadium” Some asked at the entrance if they could go outside for a cigarette but were blasted by a security guard “if you go out you stay out”.
10 hours of nervous applicants and supporters all hungry, frozen to the bone, bored and many with nicotine withdrawal the atmosphere was bleak.
As for people being judged, many many great singers were given no’s while clowns and wacky dressers who couldn’t sing for toffee were given yes’s. One fab girl heard by the crowd was given a round of applause when she finised but the production assistant gave her a “no” which caused an uproar from the crowd shouting “let her through” repeatedly. As she left the stadium the crowd thankfully gave her an almighty cheer.
By 5pm many supporters had bailed out and left applicants to face the freezing temperatures on their own. My own support had also gone in a strop saying they wished they’d never come. All very good for the nerves!!
By 6pm we still hadn’t been seen but an assistant moved the applicants further down the stadium to seats which had been empty for hours. WOW those plastic seats were cold on the legs and bum. We hadn’t long sat there, when they moved us again to another row of cold seats.
As a trained singer, temperature and warming the voice is crucial but at this point I couldn’t feel my toes, fingers, top lip or nose and my body was shivering uncontrollably even with three layers, two of which were of a fur lined variety.
Gradually in tens we stood on the stairs of the stadium in a que to be seen.
Singing my body shook uncontrollably with the cold as a cold cutting wind surrounded me and it started to rain again. I was told by the tv assisstant “very good, but I’m afraid today, it’s a no”.
My disgruntled support & I headed to our hotel and even after a hot meal and hot bath 2 hours later we were still cold at the bone. My support went to bed at 10.30pm and we’re still not speaking!
I thought X Factor was about talent not an endurance test.
Britain doesn’t have the weather for outside auditions. Auditions could have been staggered through the day to reduce the waiting time or even if we’d been given our numbers and told to come back in x time.
Alternatively auditions could have been held at one end of the stadium with a large screen erected at the other showing films or something to alleviate boredom and frustration for supporters never mind the applicants.
The production team should stop auditioning and look at their organisation factor.

  106. amy says:

i went to manchester on saturday to support my sister and it was a complete nightmare they didnt have a clue what they was doing!!we was there for 9 hours in the freezing cold and having to act like idiots and taking our hoods down to make it look like it was summer it was a JOKE!! and as for the judges they havnt got a clu what talent is there was some realy good singers who didnt get through my sister was one of them and she can sing!!it wasnt fair!! and as 4 the judge who was on screen 4 WELL he did not have a clue what he was doing!! it didnt even look like he was listeneing i only saw him let 2 people through the whole day!! he also looked a mess he had an hat on and his hood up there was no way he should have judged!! not even one of the proper judges could be there it was pathetic!
WARNING TO EVERYONE X FACTOR IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS ITS A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!

My advice, just chill out and do your best, either you’ll do it or you wont, either way for me its back to work tuesday lol.

  154. Ian B says:

Folks, I have been reading previous comments and whilst I would LOVE to have a bash (I’m 42 for god’s sake) I am having second thoughts. I love singing, and have been having lessons, BUT at 42, they clearly want youngsters…. Having seen what others have gone through, and noting that great singers have been rejected but clowns are getting through, I fear it might be a wasted day out. I think I’ll still go but will be absolutely livid if they treat me with contempt when like everyone else we have been waiting for hours for them to brush us aside without even taking much notice.

  155. ste says:

hi all just wanna say gd luck to everyone going to the auditions this yr and well done if ya all ready got through
