It seems that although Cheryl Cole’s mum Joan Callaghan has reluctantly agreed a truce with her daughter over her reuniting with former husband Ashley, he’s demanding that Joan doesn’t live with him and Cheryl again.

Joan previously lived with the couple, and was vociferous in her disapproval of the way Ashley treated her daughter, including being furious when allegations of his infidelity became public knowledge.

Today, the Daily Star reports, “As the singer prepared to move back to their former marital home, Ashley was determined she should come alone.”

A source close to the couple revealed, “Ashley has told Cheryl that Joan can’t be part of their relationship.

“He knows it can’t work with Joan in the same house.”

But while Joan may not be keen on the couple reuniting, Ashley’s mum Sue most definitely is.

The source added, “Sue is incredibly fond of Cheryl and is forever singing her praises.

“She says she is so glad to have her daughter-in-law back.

“She realises how insanely happy Cheryl makes Ashley and believes they are a good team.

“She loves her son and wants the best for him. As far as she is concerned Cheryl was nothing but a positive influence.”
