The Daily Star today reports that Ashley Cole is planning to take Cheryl on a “second honeymoon” in South Africa, which apparently was Cheryl’s mum Joan Callaghan’s idea.

The paper adds that 53 year old Joan is “warming to the idea” of her daughter getting back with her cheating ex Ashley, but Cheryl’s dancer friend Derek Hough reportedly isn’t being so easily convinced their reunion is a good idea.

And of course, when she and Derek were dating, they visited Africa on holiday.

A friend of Derek’s told the paper, “It’s a kick in the teeth. The poor man has been unceremoniously dumped by Cheryl and now she and Ash are off to Africa which Derek used to call ‘their place’.

“When he mentioned taking her away to Jamaica, Joan said it was a good idea.

“But she said he would be better off choosing somewhere like South Africa because she knows Cheryl loves the place.

“Joan appears to be warming to Ashley again – for the time being.”
