Ashley McKenzie Could Be Kicked Off X Factor 2006!
X Factor contestant Ashley McKenzie could be kicked off the show after a having a furious bust-up with mentor Simon Cowell.
The former model reportedly lost his temper with Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell, over the songs he was given to sing for tomorrow nights show.
The outburst was said to be so heated that Simon Cowell personal bodyguards had to step in and calm things down.
An eye witness said: “We couldn’t believe what was happening. Ashley was fuming.”
The source added: “Ashley’s got some nerve – actually daring to question Simon Cowell, who has been behind so many huge acts. He should have just shut up.”

I rarely watch TV, the only two shows i sit down to watch every week currently is X-factor and Vincent. The rest of my time is spent programming computers.
With my friendly introduction out of the way… here is my opinion ( please note my intention is not to offend, and this is just my own opinion.)
Before programming computer games, i had 8+ years of actual experience of playing in a male semi-pro duo as a keyboard player/backing vocalist at pubs/clubs/hotels and holiday camps.
Now…
We ( family, wife and friends )noticed that something very suspect was going on with Ashley and Cowell a few weeks ago( even at bootcamp Cowell was making excuses for him, even when Ashly was showing how unprofessional and crap he was then, compared to the quality of the rest in that group / camp).
IMO Ashley is nothing special, maybe Cowel fancies him as he rent boy but.. nothing i can see ( nothing that warrants his cockey unlikeable attitude. He isn’t even a good singer, he sounds like a lesbian opera singer that has had too much to drink. He cannot sing very well at all,that is when he DOES actually remember the words
He doesn’t sing, he shouts, it’s not even in tune half the time, and has no passion or conviction to any of the songs iv’e seen him so called perform.
He is in now way ( not even close )near the same league as Leona, Ben, or Robert is in ( now, Leona.. that is someone with STAR quality and vocal talent Simon
Oh sorry…whoops! Ash is more commercial even though he can’t bloody well sing! Makes me wish i was back in the 80’s, where the music industry wasn’t so controlled by idiots like you making decisions for real talent, and it was about talent and not JUST making money.
IMO he does NOT have any kind of star quality at all.
What your seeing folks, is the X-Factor coming to an end i think. The show is starting to feel like it’s a little fixed
After last weeks performance by Cowell (who acted like a little girl that had just been told off), i honestly doubt i would phone up and vote again, as i am starting to the think the show is fixed.
If anyone here recorded saturday’s show, please watch it again and you might see what me, my wife, friends and family who were all watching saw ( play it back a few times at the time just before, during and after Lewie made his decision).
Cowell basiclly ordered Lewie( not in so many words ) after he said i’m sending home Robert,to keep Ash in.
Basiclly saying to Lewie… “If you want to be a judge on my show next year, you will keep my golden boy in, and send home Rob, even though Rob is better than Ash”.
Lewie did the right thing and sent home the guy with the cockey attitude and bad hair style
If you pay carefull attention, you’ll also see parts where even the lovely Kate,and other judge Sharon look worried and uncomfortable about their jobs for challenging Simon, or speaking their minds.
… Just watch those parts again, and after to see what i’m talking about.
To cut this short, i HAD respect for Simon Cowell with the other shows, as i always thought he was an honest guy… and thought of Lewie as the clown.. It’s obvious that Simon has a personal/financial interest in Ashley and is using the competition to get there, i now think of Simon as the clown, and have more respect for Lewie.
Of course, it’s about money to all them, but at least Lewie had the gut’s to be his own man.
Personally, i think if there is a next years show, the other Simon, i.e the original Pop Star’s creator(that Cowell had the court case with for nicking his ideas for the X-Factor)should talk to ITV and producers about getting rid of cowell and bring back a judge that people can respect, such as Pete Waterman.
I think Lewie hit the nail on the head when he said the public is getting bored with him. The way he acted after Lewie sent Ashley home on Saturday, was as if ash was his boyfriend … JUST WATCH IT BACK GUYS!! LOL iv’e always thought Cowell was a bit of a mincer, hehe i know for a face he is really very short and wears shoes that have custom high built heels, to make him look taller, hence all the jokes by Ben Shepard, Sharon and Lewie
Anyway, can someone at ITV either have a good talk to Cowell or just bring back Pete Waterman for the next show. Because again IMO the show is starting to look like the FIX-Factor lately from where i’m watching.
Anyway, i am really routing for Leona, we all think she is a real star, Ben is great too and very talented, and Robert has a fantastic voice full of soul, and a great , likeable personality. The other guy’s left in the competion are talented too, though Leona, Ben and Robert SHOULD IMO( notice i say *should* be the three finals).
As said, my respect for Cowell has gone now after Saturday, he has started to talk crap, and try to convince people watching at home that crap is good just because he has a commerciall interest in Ashley… probably long before the show actually went to the live shows…

Totally agree with GP, i can’t really get my head around this Ash thing. I don’t think he has a great voice, i think its quite weird and out of tune. Robert to me is so much better. I lost respect for Simon on Saturday too, I thought it was ridiculous the way he acted. Louis was absolutely right and he was very dignified too. I think he is very honest – Simon seems to be a control freak. Well done Louis. I don’t even think Ash should have been in the final, he really can’t sing very well!!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion GP and mine is that Ashley did have the X Factor. It’s not just a good voice – although his is – it’s about that little extra. Sparkle, pazaz, call it what you want but he has it in bucket loads. That will be the reason why Simon wanted him to stay, not because he is a ‘mincer’ in your words (rather offensive actually)

Did you notice the look Simon Cowel had? I felt that Simon was too emotionally involved with Ashley. Was it the money Ashley would make for him?? or just that Ashley was kicked out of the contest? it is anyones guess. But I did think that Simon Cowel was acting very strange and yes I am beginning to think the contest might be rigged.
Surely the judges are not supposed to be biased otherwise how can they be judges??
Yet Simon was clearly out of order telling Louis to keep Ashley. He was also out of order when he said before boot camp, that he had made a mistake and requested that Ray be brought back. Ray was found in emotional bits, Ray was beside himself, and that lovely personality of his had disapeared. Sure Ray cheered up but he must have been on an emotional roller coaster!
I didn’t like the way he treated Ray, it seemed that he was toying with his feelings. Simon Cowel has a duty of care to his contestants.
Niether could I understand Ashley’s diction, and was he using sign language when he was singing? I wonder if Ashley has a hearing loss? do play it back. Ashley has personality, he is original in his delivery, attractive personality, but no talent in singing. His breathing is weak and he needs to strengthen his vocal range.
Perhaps he would be a better actor than singer?
Robert has a beautiful voice. My partner cannot stand the X Factor, however when Robert came on my partner stopped in his tracks and said ‘I’d vote for him’ We think he is great and what a performer. I hope that heaven smiles on that man and gives Simon Cowel a reality check.
Ben looks like the milk man, and nothing like a ‘rocker’ no charisma or magnetism. And yes, if he is so good then why couldn’t he sing with the swing band?? they broke their own rules and he was let off, because it would be too difficult for him?? and they think he is good??? I think his voice is over the top and he will do himself an injury should he continue in that way. He is apparently tipped to win. I hope not.
