BBC Won’t Give Simon Cowell Top Of The Pops!
The BBC have announced that they will not hand over Top Of The Pops to music mogul, Simon Cowell.
Cowell offered to take over or fund the show this year after the BBC revealed that the TOTP Christmas Special will not air this year.
Cowell said: “If they don’t want it, I’ll take it. I’m serious. They can give it to me or I will give them a bit of money. Why end the tradition?”
According to The Sun, BBC chiefs have now refused Cowell’s offer.
“I’m afraid we couldn’t accept Simon’s offer, but we hope viewers will enjoy the eight episodes of TOTP2 lined up over Christmas, which will feature some of the year’s key hits and possibly the Christmas No.1,” a spokesperson said.

i dont really think itv should take “totp” but i would love to see it come back!
it realy should be on longer maybe 3 hours and more days a week. and bring back all its old slots.breakers,news,albums,tip for the top and it should be based on the top75not just the top 40. get acts on who wouldnt normaly do it, and do the singles chart on it on a tuesday so more bands are shown each day.
