Ben Mills Leaves The X Factor 2006
Tonight saw Ben Mills leave the X factor 2006. It was a travesty but I knew it would happen. Ben should have got through to the final but Ray has the teenage vote, add those to the sympathy votes he must have gotten for his tears and he was bound to last.
I hope Ben enjoys a fruitful career outside of the X factor, he deserved to be in the final.
Simon Cowell must be chuffed, he mentors both acts in the final….its lucky he doesn’t have the final say in who wins.

I am deeply shocked and dumbfounded that the most talented person has been voted off.
Really, it should have not come as a suprise as Simon Cowell tends to get his own way 100% of the time!
I really think he wants copycat Mariah Carey to win Leona

What a shame, he really should have got throught to the final. He’s amazingly talented.
I can understand why he went though. The X- Factor just doesn’t have the right audience for him… the kind of people who would like him wouldn’t be the people I would expect to watch the x factor.
At least we can be fairly sure he will have a very successful career when he finds another recording company, and I wouldn’t be suprised if he does better than leona. She may be good, but he’s far more original i have to say.
Vocaly I think he’s a lot stronger than Ray, who should perhaps have gone tonight, but his song (never walk alone)was carefully chosen to maximise his target audience- he had virtualy all of liverpool, most supporters, along with all the people who prefer his kind of music over the others. (The same reason I believe the mcdonald guys stayed in so long- they had all of scotland voting for them)
I don’t think I’ll be watching next week, the best has gone and leona is dead set to win it now . That’s just not entertaining..

Ben has amazing talent as a Rock star he could become a real great up there with the very best and his career will be longer than Leonas as apart from singing great she has little and even no stage presence,if she’s as timid as she makes out she’ll never survive with the big guns in music.Rod.
aarrrggghhh!!! I am so annoyed that Ben didn’t get through. Leona shouldn’t win- she has less personality than a… something with no personality. She just thinks everything, the judges, te songs are “amazing” ,she never has anything good to say, i felt like falling asleep when she was talking after her performance.
Why didn’t Ben win? Leona’s a clone of every other act at the moment, but Ben is unique.
well sharon osbourne did alot for ben but he just didn’t listen to her advice he would of prob got through if she had choosen the songs but i think he will release a album in the near future

I seriously disagree with anyone who thinks Ben is Unique. The voice such as it is, is no different to many rock voices signed or unsigned – it is gravelly and rough. However, for those who like people who are similar to Ben he must be great. Sharon knows this more than anyone, all of his songs really sounded the same and were devoid of interpretation.
Little Ray was very emotional being in the final three and having experienced weeks of additional attention being given to Leona obviously felt his number was up. Teenage vote or no teenage vote, the majority of people who watch Saturday night TV are people with families or the retired. Young people are out enjoying themselves.
Leona really is the up and coming princess of pop, last night was her best night and anyone with a real ear for music will no that she can not climb any further.Leona has peaked next week the final will just be a case of digging out the x factor journey bits for both Ray and Leona for the inevitable walkover.
Girls do win talent shows BTW Michelle McManus won one didn’t she and so will Leona fix or no fix.

I actually think that most people will go out after the x-factor, so I think you can’t discount the young person’s vote.
In regard to the comment about Ben not being unique, he is in the market place that the show is aimed for – thats what made him stand out and thats why he will go on and go far. He is not just a rock singer and the passion of his interpretation in his songs was captivating. ‘Little Ray’ is not as good, but will no doubt win because of all the tweenage and mothers and granny’s votes (again apologies for these steryotypical groups if they offend anyone)
I absolutely agree that Leona is a pop singer, a great one at that, with lots of potential, who fits much better into the current market.
Ray will fit nicely into West End theatres – or will have a coupld of hit songs then fade into obscurity (or west end theatres)
OMG! Ben wen out. Ben is sooo hot as well. OMG i cannot believe it. He woz the best and so talented OMG! OMG OMG OMG! I hate Simon, looking all smug now probably. God. Ben should hav won. I hope he comes back again but i don’t think he will they never do.
Have faith in Ben – he is really talented and is unique, so I reckon he’ll be back

Leona could sing,ok.Would you recognise her on the radio,
dont think so.Ray is just too broadway and should have stayed there.Ben stood out and will do so a lot in the future.It was all about Simon smuggy Cowell.I will definetly not tune into another series of fix factor.Good Luck Ben,you did good.
