Ben Mills Threatens To Quit The X Factor Amid ‘Fix’ Claims
We told you earlier this week that X Factor producers and Simon Cowell had chosen a Kelly Clarkson song as the X Factor winners first single.
Many people have claimed that this is proof that the show bosses are expecting Leona Lewis to win the show. Others have went as far as to suggest that the whole X Factor series has been a fix.
It has emerged today that Leona’s fellow X Factor contestant Ben Mills is not too happy about the song choice either.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ben’s really angry about the song.
“He doesn’t want to record it and has been saying he will walk out of the show before the final if he thinks anything else is swung in Leona’s favour.
“All the remaining contestants are meant to record the song this week so that it is ready for release once the winner is announced.
“But Ben thinks Leona now has an unfair advantage and is convinced he’s being stitched up by Simon Cowell.”

WHAT has SIMONS ideas dried up so quickly he cant find an oridginal song for the winner to record. I think we should see the votes as they happen, there is a very nasty smell from this years X FACTOR and a lot of doubts. PITY BEN backtracked when talking to smug grinning BEN SHEPHARD on Xtra factor, THE STORY came from somewhere, a lot of people I’ve listened to last night and this morning think BEN, the singer, has let the cat out the bag on this one. If Simon is so obsessed with Leona why doesn’t he sign her anyway. Its his show, his money so why all this pushing her to win.
And why cant they get an original song. I don’t blame Ben one bit. I would also be really annoyed. I expect more people will vote for Ben now. Yet again Simon has shot himself in the foot if this story is true.

It seems that everyone is talking about Ben and Leona in the final and the two could not be more different. I think this is good, but the sone that Simon has choosen for the finalist is a big steaming pile of twodle. Ben has a really good voice and shows a lot of style whilst performing. Leona on the other hand still has a good voice but reminds me way too much of some of the American “Talent” kicking about these days.

I agree that I would of been a bit ‘cheesed off’ at that song choice!
Leona has zero personality and everything is always ‘It’s amazing’ the judges were ‘amazing’ etc etc She is nothing more than a Wannabe Mariah Carey copycat for example Mariah and Leonas webpage on Myspace.com are totally identical! The Mariah fans are not convinced her voice is the real thing!

MAYBE there is much more to this tan is evident now, WE have no way as the public to see our votes received, collated and sorted, ITS ALL DONE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WITH NO INDEPENDENT ADJUDICATION. We NEVER even get the detailed results week on week. THE way SIMON has been this year and the other judges too, EVEN SHARON didnt seem worked up enough in saving BEN on saturday, maybe all now are realising its a farce and SIMON has engineered the result he want but has to go through the motions, HEY all five could get recording contracts now,WHEN HAS THAT HAPPENED OR BEEN SAID,SIMON thinks he can treat the public like MUSHROOMS, KEEP THEM IN THE DARK AND FEED THEM WITH MANURE,I was being polite there. Maybe just maybe he’s been rumbled bu BEN speaking out but I think we should have a right to see who is taking our votes, how they are collated and laid out BEHIND that mysteriously sinister closed and guarded door to the room. BEN by speaking out midweek has thrown SIMON ,he made references to that on Saturday, SIMON would have sent BEN out on sat HAD BEN not mentioned the fixing thing for LEONA to the press. SIMON had to be careful though, he needs BEN in the show now as THE PRESS would have pushed for the full story had SIMON put him out on Sat.ROD,Newcastle

I think Simon is determined for Leona to win and by choosing a song that is applicable to her rather than Ben it would appear he thinks she will win. The PR machine must be going all out…
Re the votes, I’d like to think they are fair but Ben in the bottom 2 - how did that happen?! It def should have been Ray (the west end stage is calling) and the dull ‘McDogal’ bros
Wgich is why I believe te votes must be genuine otherwise the dull brothers would have been out weeks ago…
Anyhow, Ben will do so much better w/o winning the x-factor as they will just have him sing unoriginal covers rather than fresh original material just to make a quick buck for the record co fat cats’ pockets… At least by not winning he will be able to control what he wants to sing and hopefully retain longevity in his career unlike the winner of the x-factor…(look at previous winners for evidence!)

LOLA ,THE MacDONALDS have even served SIMONS purpose all the groups are gone but them, BUT SIMON would have sent BEN out saturday if BEN hadnt made an stetement of his concerns, and he’s seeing whats going on, after those statements from BEN Simon was stuck, he’d have rather kept ETON ROAD he never saw them beating LEONA but now the engineering has to be done,we’re in the last 3 weeks and now BEN is still there, it wouldnt surprise me if BEN was in the last place this week,IF Ben stays then SIMON has a problem to succeed in LEONA winning at any cost,Im not saying the votes are not received BUT i have doubts that SIMON with his power,influence, time and money is ensuring LEONA has maximum votes coming through for every minute the lines are open,thats all he needs to engineer, phone votes when you can vote any amount of times are open to all kinds of manipulation.Simple really.WHY DID BEN EVEN SAY ANYTHING, HE SAW SOMETHING DODGY AND DIDN’T LIKE IT,ROD,Newcastle

I would like to see Leona in the bottom two up against Ben and obviously Leona would get voted out. Sharon and Louis would both keep Ben and that would leave Simon to have a major strop. I would love this to happen.
Like I have said why doesn’t Simon give her a contract regardless. Whats the problem. He is loaded and has all the influence in the world so why does he have to be so underhand to make Leona win. He does not deserve it but I am sorry for Leona who is caught up in all of this backstabbing. Its not her fault she has got a d**khead for a mentor.

WOW what a scenario BIGNIKKIFAN,WISH we could and had the resources to bring that about, I wouldnt be surprised if BENS phone lines have problems this week, I feel sure SHARON and LOUIS werent bothered who else was in the last 2 sat. as long as RAY was one of them as they would have sent him home. HOWEVER this week the judges dont decide who goes out, from this week its just who the public vote last goes out,SO you need to get your votes i,I will be supporting BEN now, SIMON would get the shock of his life if LEONA was last and his plan scuppered,HE CANT SAVE HER THIS WEEK WITHOUT ‘MANUFACTURING’ IT IN SOME WAY TO ENSURE SHE ISN’T LAST. The trouble is this year is whoever wins get Simon. If Leona doesn’t win he will be in a massive strop and won’t put his heart into it. He wants Leona to win and that all he cares about. Its not really about her it’s about his own self and he wants to win above everything else. He is a very spoilt man.
So Ben, McDonald Brothers and even Ray are probably thinking - oh my god , how do we get out of this!
Its a catch 22 situation.

Hey Rod - you are one obsessed MFckr - get a life mate and enjoy the show, do you really think the spin you damn has affected Ray for example - just look at Sat night - My way was absolutely awesome - at least he didnt sulk like Ben did the week before - TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! AND IT WAS SO OBVIOUS ON LIVE TV!!

Totally unjust comments from you slick but I wont rise to them, your opinions sound even more forceful and aggressive than mine, Most of what I have said has been endorsed firstly by Ben as to Leona and then by Sharon too,I believe in fainess and I and many others are appalled at the behaviour of Simon Cowell this year, If you bothered to read other categories you would find I was full of praise for Ray and My Way, I even said had saturday been the final that performance should have won it for him. Lots of those who comment use caps, often as I do by mistake sometimes, why single me out.Yours was a very uncalled for and unfair comment to me personally, its your roght to say it but it says everything about you and nothing about me, I will speak out against unfairness, bullying and anything I feel is unjust, I am a strong fan of X factor and my enjoyment of it this year has been spoiled by Simons shocking behaviour particularly this year,I am not the only one either. I have my right to express my opinion on an outlet that permits that and even indeed encourages it, you have the right to read or not read what I say,The RIGHT YOU DONT HAVE,and yes I did shout there is to stop me doing so just as I have no right to stop you, when you attack me personally I have the right to respond which I have done in part but I will let others make their own mind up about you and indeed me too for themselves. Rod, I agree we are all entitled to our own opiniions and the right to voice them
However I think you are a huge fan of conspiracy theories??? How could Simon possibly manufacture it for Leona to win - short of tampering with the official voting lines - which would be investigated completely. The only way I guess is to roll out the publicity and marketing machines…but surely the public have enough intelligence to work out who has talent and who is refreshingly different - i.e. Ben!
One thing though is that Ben seems to be getting an awful lot of nagative publicity - and I’m not sure why…Leona is getting none - or Ray for that matter…so maybe Rod, you have an element of truth about this - maybe Simon is engineering it for Leona…I currently sit on the fence on that one…

Oh yes Lola, no way can Simon do anything illegal,Id never advocate that but its his show and he kows all the workings of it, I have smelled something wrong with Xfactor this year, BEN made a comment Simon was rigging all for Leona and then Sharon also said on sat that He had his press machinery going all too, on any vote that is multiple voting with knowledge,means, influence and money lots can be achieved to make sure the absolute effort is engaged to bring about a desired result, Simon got very annoyed with Sharon on sat when she inferred he was doing so. BEN says something, the SUN prints it then SIMON talks to the SUN and the SUN hardly comments on x factor anymore.I talk to lots of people who think something isnt right, not illegal obviously but Ive never seen any judge so obsessed with one act and always talking it up to the detriment of his other acts, he tried this too on sat with RAY after MANDY he said it wasnt the best he’d heard Ray sing and he had another big song to come, Ray did Mandy great and the after My Way well Ray had blown all criticism away as he was awesome n that song. Still Simon talks Leona up and up, the thing Im finding is yes people think she has a great voice and talent but nothing we havent seen before and have already i.e. Mariah Carey,He just seems a man posessed and no one else has really mattered but her even of his acts. Ben and Sharon are closer to it all than me and most but both have said something and indicated that machinery not used before is being operated to ‘engineer’ for want of a better word the desired win for Leona. That doesnt make it necessarily an even playing field and thats what would be wrong. Sharon near always has a strong base to what she says,Ive felt for some weeks she’s been biting her tongue avoiding letting it out but she blew on saturday and Simon was very uncomfortable,to me a raw nerve touched. I have loved x factor over the last 3 years but consider it should be a level playing field for all finalists with no specialist treatment for any act until all is over. In that and Simons shocking bullying behaviour this year to some acts my repect and love for x factor has been ruined rather and the show left a little tarnished to say the least, Thanks for your support though Lola, its greatly appreciated.Rod,Newcastle

I don’t think Ben sulked last week. He just really really wants to win or at least make records and could see himself leaving the show and his dreams fading because he thought Simon was going to vote him off.
It must be extremely stressful for them, I could never do what they do in a million years. Good luck to all of them. All three are great - who could ever choose between them.

Guys, it is behind closed doors for legal reasons. When public interaction is involved with a tv programme for example there is a watchdog company that oversees everything. Its like in Big Brother and gambling situations like the Grand National. The only way that a show can involve public voting is if this company gives them the go ahead to do so. They lay out specific guidelines and when in compliance with these guidelines the show or event will be allowed to involve public voting.
I’m not denying that something fishy may be going on, but we can’t see the voting for a reason and the votes cannot be rigged.

Saint Peter with respect and you raise totally valid points but in anything where unidentified multiple voting is concerned, if you know the lines, the set up time of voting etc you can ‘engineer’ the absolute maximum of receipt of votes probable, that may not totally define the result but can steer it a certain way, nowadays just about anything can be rigged in any system at all, If you look at telephone polls on anything on TV where anyone can vote more than once then you get a totally distorted result from that,for instance and its totally a different subject but in telephone polls like Ive said on TV, as to voting intentions in a general election the the Conservatives get 70% of the vote, totally distorted as in reality they would onlty get half that figure so their result is over inflated and the others suppressed by those with intention and means to engineer a fasle interpretation of what is likelY.A different scenario I admit from X factor but maybe not too wide of the mark,you see I hardly find anyone who is actually voting for Leona and on a continual process during the show particularly. O f course I may be wrong totally, but it was originally Ben himself and Sharon who indicated something was not the same as in previous years this year on x factor.Rod.

It is clearly fixed for Leona to win. I can’t believe that none of the newspapers have picked up on the fact that she won a £10,000 prize and a recording opportunity in a National Pub Kareoke competition, the final of which was judged by some of the Fame acadamy people. Clearly the industry knew about her after this and so any auditions etc have been irrelevant, she was the planned winner form the start and was always going to be in the finals no matter what. Oh and from personal experience the only personality I have witnessed first hand is worse than wooden its arrogant and spiteful

NOW that Leonna has WON! i say yeah,,,,,,,,,,, to ben i hate ben alot of people would disagree which is understandeble but i have read that he has done drugs and had treated his ex grilfriend like rubbish so if you still like him then you are just inroing the truth but if you like him for his voice then fine even though sometimes he sounds like a sheep in pain. I am not saying to who ever likes him to stop because wew all have diffrent taste but dont! think for a seconed that he is a nice guy. ps ray should have won!
