Cheryl Cole faced quite a media storm over her fashion choices on last week’s X Factor show.

On Saturday night Cheryl Cole emerged on stage, dressed in a £1500 dress by David Koma and some say that it looked like she had stuck two wheel trims over her boobs.

Simon Cowell wasn’t a fan of the look and advised Cheryl to sit up straighter before the ill fitting dress exposed her assets. Later Cheryl took a call on The Xtra Factor in which a viewer told her that the dress was terrible.

Tonight, on the MTV Europe Awards the eagle eyes of Unreality TV noticed that Beyonce Knowles was sporting an almost identical dress to Cheryl (pictured below). However, perhaps because of her more substantial frame, Beyonce carried the quirky dress much better and it didn’t look half as ridiculous on our favourite bootylicious babe.

On the popularity of the dresses, designer David Koma told Vogue:
