Granted, the comment was unnecessary maybe but jeez, she obviously didn’t mean it in a nasty way. I don’t know why everyone is slamming Dannii so badly for the incident. Danyl openly admitted that he was bi and since he dares to admit to that, a comment like this doesn’t seem that great a deal. Furthermore, if you read Dannii’s profiles, she has always been supportive of gay rights so don’t says it was “sexual harassment” whatsoever. Furthermore, she honestly seemed to mean no harm so stop slamming her already.

And as for her judging credibility… Just shut up about it too. Even if she wasn’t that successful a pop star, it doesn’t mean she is unqualified to judge the contestants. It’s her experience in the industry that would aid her to be a good mentor. So seriously, enough is enough.

I thought Dannii made a good point – Danyl gave an interview weeks ago saying he was bi-sexual, it was all over the internet and in the papers. I presume his pupils can read, and I hope they have been brought up well enough not to care. Then Simon gets him to sing a woman’s song, which presumably prompted Dannii to make a fair point that he needn’t have changed the gender. What’s the fuss? As as for all you angry parents – I haven’t heard you complaining about Simon all but saying that Pole Dancing and Stripping were perfectly acceptable career choices. Mzybe we should be discussing the misery and exploitation that go with jobs in the sex industry, rather than whether a man who has outed himself to the papers and presumably made money from the interviews,is upset.

Simon Cowell and X Factor are probably patting Danni on the back now for all the additional publicity she has created! What she said has been blown out of proportion. The guy openly admitted to being bi-sexual so its not as if she outed him!

I can’t believe the comments from Gay men on this page. I think they need to look up on their Gay history. Gay men have been fighting for equality for years so that you can walk the streets never mind be out! I’m out and proud, but that doesn’t mean I think everyone should be. This man works with children and it’s his choice if he wants to be out or not. As all Gay men know, it’s up to the individual to out themselves not the people around them, like Danni Minogue on television. This man deserves an apology. Danni has Gay friends and a big gay following, how could she be so stupid! she needs to be fired or shot! stupid Bint!

I don’t think Danni is homophobic as people seem to be commenting but I agree it was completely uncalled for. I just don’t see what it had to do with anything – there was absolutely no reason for her to point out that the gender refernce didn’t need to be changed! Fair enough your whole life is going to be under the microscope if you go on something like X Factor but I say leave the scrutinizing for the papers – I was completely baffled when I watched the show last night. Just amazing Danni thought it was OK to make such a personal and IRRELEVANT remark!

Is this really such a big deal? It’s not as if Dannii said “you’re gay, and I hate you because of it” it was just a little jip. No matter how liberal everyone tries to sound, homophobia is everywhere and it can be a hell of a lot worse than what happened last night. It’s not like she stoned him. I would imagine Dannii has a huge gay fanbase too, so it’s not exactly in her best interests to be “homophobic” either.

The judges said he was overconfident and cocky. He is a fabulous performer and should leave the show and make it on his own. They are control freaks who are looking for someone who “doesn’t know how good they are” so that they can build them up and say “the best thing about you is that you dont know how good u are!” They have a mould and want someone to fit it. BUT DANYL KNOWS HOW GOOD HE IS AND SO HE SHOULD! why try and knock the confidence out of someone? all the best performers know they are fabulous. he is not an impressionable teenager and the appeal, for me is that he has confidence and the voice to go with it! As for the sexuality thing- its noones business and you’d think someone famous would realise what an invasion of someones privacy is.
