Britain’s Got Talent 2010: Simon Cowell backs the Tories in tomorrow’s election

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell took to The Sun today, to encourage us all to vote in tomorrow’s general election and more specifically telling us to vote Conservative.

Apologising first for lecturing people, the millionaire music mogul wrote:

“I have always hated celebrities lecturing people on politics. So forgive me. But I am passionate about this country.

“I am equally passionate about the potential of the people who live here.”

He then passed judgment on each of the main political party leaders, branding Labour’s Gordon Brown as a “sincere man” but adding that he is “tired”.

He said that Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg is ‘made for TV’ but added: “I worry about a lot of his policies.”

And Cowell comes out in clear support of Tory leader David Cameron, he says: “I like him, I trust him. He has substance and the stomach to navigate us through difficult times.”

You can read more of Simon’s comments here but if the multi millionaire believes that David Cameron is the man who will best protect his interests and those of his rich friend Phillip Green, is he really the best man to safeguard the rights and future of the normal working Joe like us? Maybe we will vote for Labour after all….
