Carolynne Poole is bringing her sexy side to the X Factor 2012 – insists she didn’t criticise Kitty Brucknell & Frankie Cocozza
Carolynne Poole has insisted that she won’t be a wallflower on this year’s series of The X Factor.
The 31 year old singer made it as far as judges houses last year before being eliminated by Louis Walsh in favour of crazy performer Goldie Cheung. Also succeeding in making it to the live shows in 2011 was Frankie Cocozza, who is more memorable for the amount of women he slept with and his bum cheeks than he is for any performing skills.
This year, Carolynne says she is determined to shine and to stand out from the crowd and she plans to use her good looks and smokin’ hot body to do it.
Speaking to X Factor sponsors Talk Talk, Poole insisted that she will bring something new to the table in 2012 and explained:
“This year is different for me. I’m not standing in the background this year. No way, no way.
“Last year I just stood back and let everyone else take centre stage with their flashing pants and tattooed bums. Just because I’m not a bit bonkers, I’m not going to let that affect me this year.”
Some fans on Twitter heard her comments and accused Carolynne of criticising former X Factor finalists Kitty Brucknell and Frankie Cocozza. However, she claimed she didn’t mean to insult anyone and tweeted:
‘I didn’t swipe at them…. I just said I’m not as out there as they are ! X’
‘Kitty knows I love her..’
‘I had a lot of love for Frankie & Kitty Last year! Takes guts to be brave!’
Poole was seen impressing the judges at bootcamp on the weekend episodes of the ITV show and was one of 24 lucky acts to win a place in judges houses.
She recently met with Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole and sang to compete for one of three places the overs have in the live shows and on what she will do differently if she makes it that far, she added:
“This year, I want to bring some cheeky, sassy sex appeal to The X Factor without being too serious. Some female ballsy energy.”
The former Emmerdale star faces some tough competition, from fellow singers Nicola Marie, Brad Shackleton, Kye Sones, Melanie Masson and Christopher Maloney.
