Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Jasmine Lennard says of ban on discussing Simon Cowell affair, “Rich people get to keep their secrets”

Celebrity Big Brother housemate Jasmine Lennard has told her fellow housemate Coleen Nolan that the fact she’s not permitted to discuss her affair with X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has caused her “frustration and pain.”

Yeah, mostly in the region of her bank account I assume…

Simon’s legal team of course slapped an injunction on Jasmine – with whom he apparently had an affair while he was in a relationship with Terri Seymour – that threatened legal action if she discussed the details of their fling.

The Daily Star reports that Jasmine told Coleen, “I had an affair with Simon Cowell and I do really want to talk about it, but I’m not allowed to.”

She added, “Rich people get to keep secrets…

“They have the money to stop you and I just don’t think it’s fair.

“If I did talk about it, I would go to jail. It’s a High Court injunction.”

A sympathetic Coleen said, “That must be frustrating,” to which Jasmine replied, “It pains me, it angers me, it really frustrates me.

“I don’t have anything bad to say. That person was such a huge part of my life. I don’t want my life to be defined by it.

“The way the relationship has gone down in history is the complete opposite to how it went down.”

Coleen then asked Jasmine what Simon was so worried she might reveal, but of course, revealing that would breach the injunction!

Jasmine – who has Simon’s initials tattooed on her wrist – replied, “[It’s] just fear. I’m a believer that the truth comes out in the end. I’m not sure when.”

Julian had by then stumbled upon the conversation, and he joked that if she did spill the beans, he’d be sure to visit her in prison.

He said, “I’ll come and visit you,” and Coleen added, “I’ll bring a cake with a file in.”

Talk then turned to money, and Jasmine, who has a two-year-old son called Phoenix, told Coleen and Julian that she was once so poor she couldn’t pay to have her pet dog buried.

She also reckoned that she could’ve become a pop star.

She said, “I’ve had powerful people come up to me and say I’ve got a look about me and an energy and ask if I can sing.

“I can’t. I’ve been tempted to lie but I’m totally tone deaf.”

Well, normally, I’d say “go see Simon Cowell about it” but maybe not…
