Celebrity Big Brother: Frankie Cocozza admits he hates The X Factor
Celebrity Big Brother finalist Frankie Cocozza has admitted that he hates the TV show which shot him into the limelight.
The long haired singer hit the headlines during last year’s X Factor series, when he was axed from the ITV show after it was revealed that he had been partying and taking illegal drugs.
On Friday night, Frankie finished Celebrity Big Brother in second place and afterwards, speaking about the singing show, he confessed that he found the whole experience ‘horrible.’
The sex mad 19 year old told The Daily Star:
“I don’t like the show and I don’t like what they did. I hate talking about it.
“It gave me a platform, which is fine. But the way they did it was horrible.”
Cocozza confessed that he had his own role to play in the drama and admitted that he wished he hadn’t let bosses control his life so tightly. He added:
“I wish I hadn’t let them take control of me. I couldn’t understand how it turned out like that.”
Frankie also issued a warning to hopefuls, planning to audition for the ITV series later this year. He said:
“My advice to would-be singers is not to go on it.”
Frankie’s life changed after The X Factor and he is now known wherever he goes and widely abused online. He admitted that he tries not to let the negative attention get to him added:
“I got loads of stick on Twitter. They go deep with insults, saying stuff about my family.
“And I often get dirty looks and swearing from blokes on nights out.
“But I don’t let it bother me.”
So ungrateful. The show gave him an amazing platform and all he can do is slag it off. He took the place of a more deserving person who really wanted it to be in it for the singing and not just to get the girls.

Frankie was just doing what lots of 18 and 19 year olds do, he was just picked out the crowd, so what if he get’s upto no good when he goes out! I agree Gemma it is disgusting and much too harsh.
I still love the x factor!!!! I agree that he was just acting the way any teenage boy would and i expect his head was even bigger after his sudden rise to fame. In fairness to the x factor they didn’t actually say that he was taking drugs whether or not he was or not is irrelevant to what the x factor said that must have either been leaked or a rumor, either way the x factor were not purposfuly doing anything wrong. I still have my respects for Frankie as he made a mistake Im sure plenty of other boys would have made, good luck to him xx
I thought people went made at Kelly for supporting Frank on the show?
I don’t think he’s ungrateful at all. He gave it a shot & it obviously wasn’t for him. I think he appreciates the fact that The X Factor got him noticed, leading him to his spot in the cbb house, but I don’t think he appreciates the way he’s been portrayed since because of it. If you look back, Gary said at judges houses “If he gets through, the one thing I’m going to make sure he doesn’t do is behave”. Obviously Frankie did the wrong thing when he took class A drugs & bragged about it, but he was an 18 going on 19 year old lad, OF COURSE he’s going to experiment with things like that. Plus, when he’s being encouraged to portray this “rock & roll” image, then he’s obviously going to act up. Sheeesh, the lad needs a break. I personally think he’s a legend & if you watched him in Big Brother, then I’m sure you’d probably agree.
at the end of the day, its very common these days in teens, he just got picked out because of the fact he was on x-factor, i bet if he was like just a boy no one would have cared about it. deep down he is extremely nice and caring, he’s had his heart broken thats why he is what he is and does what he does but i garantee he doesnt do it to hurt people, he need support not abuse.. give him a break.
