Charlotte Church has quashed rumours that she will be joining the judging panel for X Factor 2009.

“We love that show and I do absolutely love the idea of doing something like that, but in reality I don’t know how it would work,” she told OK!

“I’d really get involved, but it wouldn’t work with my life now because the kids will come everywhere with me and if I was based in London, that’s taking them away from their dad.”

Church and Cheryl Cole have had a very public tabloid feud throughout their careers, however Charlotte insisted that she would have no problem working with the Girls Aloud singer.

“Do you know what, I’ve not met her once!” she commented. “It would probably be a bit strained because I’ve said some stuff about her and she’s said some stuff about me. However, most of it was blown out of proportion by the press and it was such a long time ago.”
