Cheryl Cole accused of miming on The Graham Norton Show – chums up with new gal pal Katy Perry!
Cheryl Cole recorded an appearance for the Graham Norton Show earlier this week and audience members have complained that she mimed her performance of new single ‘Call My Name’ after her interview.
The former X Factor judge has hit out at critics who claimed she lip synced during a recent performance on The Voice and explained that she feels honoured that people would think she was miming, when she was definitely singing live.
However, fans who saw the former Girls Aloud star perform on Norton’s chat show say she wasn’t just fake singing, but also stopped the recording twice, so she could restart her performance and get the dance moves right.
Cheryl was a guest on the BBC series, alonsgide Katy Perry and Ross Noble but it seems that she failed to shine.
Cole’s fans have been very vocal in her defence so far, but some Twitter users insist that in real life, the brunette beauty is a bit of a ‘let down.’
One wrote: ‘Just saw Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry live on Graham Norton.
‘Can’t believe what a let down Cheryl was! Stuck up and fake, constantly getting her makeup redone, mimed her performance and messed up the routine had to start again twice!’
Another said: ‘Cheryl mimed, at least most of it.
‘She did the whole performance twice, probably planning to pick the best bits and make her look better on TV.’
During Norton’s interview, Cheryl denied reports that she has dropped her surname Cole and told the Irish star:
“Cheryl’ really just looked better on the new album artwork. I couldn’t fit the ‘Cole’ on.”
Katy Perry showed some female solidarity and proved she knows all about Chez’s marriage breakdown, when she replied:
‘You don’t need that “Cole” honey’
Cheryl was obviously grateful for the support and later tweeted:
“I love @katyperry #thatisall”

Wow just shows you how much people don’t know when they do these sort of programmes you can do it as many times as you want and pick which one you want and to be honest it hasn’t even been aired so why are people writing this rubbish all performers will do it many times until they are happy with there performance it’s called promotion !!!
I just watched the show on BBC1 and it doesn’t matter if she done the routine how many times but why people are saying she mimed the performance is stupid. There was no backing track in the background it was purely Cheryl singing the whole way through! I don’t know what some people hear but they need to get their hearing checked. Everyone just wants to find something to attack Cheryl with, she’s a great singer/performer so give her a break!!!!!!!!
I’ve looked through the persons twitter, the one who said “Just saw Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry live on Graham Norton” it’s quite obvious that this person wasn’t a fan of Cheryl’s to begin with, so this person could just be looking for any excuse to criticize her.
